I have a 2005 Nissan Titan and started experiencing white smoke come out of the tail pipe and it has an oil smell. I have changed the valve covers and pcv valves. The intake has a pool of oil in it. Can someone please tell me what is leaking are why is my intake filling up with oil.

first pull the dipstick and see how much oil is gone. is it more than what you see in the manifold? did you just do and oil change...sometimes, it can be as simple as too much is put in. if no work has been done recently, you may have popped an exhaust valve seal...or it's a mileage related failure in the valve train seals in general causing the galley in the top of the head to load up with oil not able to drain out fast enough. what's under your valve covers?

send a pm to the OP in this posting and see what he figured out about his leak.......http://www.titantalk.com/forums/tit...pper-engine-oil-leak-under-throttle-body.html

The engine oil is a quart low. I don't know if something is clogged or what. I am considering having a induction clean done to remove the carbon build up but, I don't know if that will fix the problem. The truck has 184K miles on it and it runs good except for the white smoke coming through the tail pipe. I ran a camera scope through the intake and you can see the pool of oil just sitting in there.

You can spend your money as you wish, however, I'd recommend you get some tools and start taking things apart or pay a pro. You have what I would call a serious problem pumping oil both into the cylinder(s) and on into the intake. Without opening up some stuff, it all amounts to guess work. Anything from what I first mentioned to a small hole in a piston.

I'd say with 184k on it I would imagine it's starting to get worn out, I wouldn't dump to much money into it.

My first thought when I hear of this kind of problem is a malfunctioning PCV valve, which should route fumes back through the intake but not allow oil through. I would take a look at that first, as that is the most likely route of oil into the intake. You can get a bad valve right out of the box.

PS: If you are sure the PCV valve is good, are you sure you have driven it enough to burn anything out that could have been coming from the PCV valve?

The pcv valves has been checked and the air filter is clean. All of those items are brand new. I have also had a leak down test done and a compression test done and everything is ruchecking out great. Just can't figure oil why this oil is showing up in the intake. My next thought is maybe the pcv hose is collapsing at high idle going into the intake or a vaccum line sucking in oil. I am lost at this point.

If you want to check vacuum lines, mock up a small breathable filter and put it inline on each line you want to check one at a time. It shouldn't take long to see heavy oil show up on one of the lines.

Sounds like excessive blow by caused by high mileage . The way to help fix this is to run a High mileage oil. More wax in the oil will keep things moving.
Next you want to buy and install an oil catch can. This will allow any oil drawn from the PCV system to be caught in a container instead of being drawn into the intake plenum.
Open Wide Performance | Quality. Passion. sells them $100 shipped. They are quality baffled cans.
Here is a pic of Venom and the Proper routing of an oil catch can. make sure to hook up the lines correctly. This will keep the oil out of the intake. Off the valves and away from the spark plugs. This should stop the smoking and reassure you the engine is ready for another 100K.
Parts list needed
1. Oil catch can ( Baffled )
2. 3/8 Tee x2
3. Marine grade zip ties for a proper seal( Clamps can be used but are overkill and ugly )
4. 10 ' of Oil resistant hose like Transmission line . do NOT use fuel line or SILICONE hose.
