after running through the test on the gauge cluster i noticed a light i never saw before, it resembled something along the lines of an adaptive cruise control

after much research i figured out that its actually Infiniti's Intelligent Cruise Control (ICC) that is being shown in the display. going through the QX56 service manual it appears that with some modifications it is possible to add this to the Nissan Titan. However the control unit and sensor is now the major setback

i just got quoted from an online part dealer for just those two parts:
ICC Laser Sensor - 28437-7S615 - $783
ICC Unit - 18995-ZE10C - $768

has anyone else looked at doing this or can get these parts cheaper (junkyard)

Can you explain what exactly the ICC system does? I can't possibly fathom it being worth $1000 under any circumstances.

Fromt the QX56 Owner's Manual:

The Intelligent Cruise Control (ICC) system automatically maintains a selected distance from the vehicle in front of you according to that vehicle is clear.

The ICC function has two cruise control modes:
* Vehicle-to-vehicle distance control mode for maintaining a selected distance between a vehicle up to the preset speeds.
* Conventional (fixed speed) cruise control mode for cruising at preset speeds.

In the vehicle-to-vehicle distance control mode, the Intelligent Cruise Control (ICC) system automatically maintains a selected distance from the vehicle in front of you according to that vehicle speed, up to the set speed or at the set speed when the road ahead is clear. With ICC, the driver can maintain the same speed as other vehicles without the constant need to adjust the speed as you would with a normal cruise control system.

i cant see spending that much to have this feature either, but if the two modules can be found at a junkyard from a wrecker for a couple hundred bucks i would consider putting this into my Titan.

I just looked at Infiniti's website and to add this option, Technology Package, to a QX56 would cost $1,150 and includes the addition of front parking sensors. so this can be added for a lot less then was quoted
