During a media presentation today, we discussed not only the XD, but also the gas version. While Nissan is building Titans as quickly as it can, there's still more to go before the current cycle of development is complete. Between cab configuration, bed size, engine type (diesel, V8 gas and V6) and model type, it will be TWO more years before Nissan has built every planned version of this next gen Titan.

Sobering news when you consider how quickly vehicle development moves these days.

Warrior concept with the gas engine, no restrictions or limits on engine, possible super charger upgrade as an option. That's all ask. Please.!!!!
Oh my gosh yes!!! That would be a dream. Take the upgraded version of the vk56 from the infiniti qx56 and put it as standard, with a supercharger option. At that point...I would solidly say that would be the best "from the factory" offroad vehicle in the us. It would eat the new V6 raptor for breakfast!!!:thedevil:

I can believe this considering the fact that nobody would increase their manufacturing capabilities without knowing what the demand will be.
I think Titan production numbers will increase with these new models, just like the Tundra did.

I tried throwing my wallet at the screen when they announced it. Nothing happened ::crying::.

That would be a near perfect truck out of the factory.

Sorry, but Not even close guys.

The new Titan with a lift kit and some very cool body work is not going to outperform the current Raptor offroad, let alone the new one coming out.

Unfortunately I don't think the new 7spd tranny would withstand the Supercharged power of the QX80 motor either.

It only takes a little massaging to make an automatic handle extra torque.
I personally wouldn't be concerned so much about performance. The odds of me finding a Raptor to perform against are quite slim, but they are ugly!

Just a lift kit? Didn't think it had a lift kit, something like different upper and lower control arms with coilovers an hydraulic bump stops an end links.
Not sure what they did to gain the three inch ride height tho.

The warrior has a +3 long travel kit. So 3" wider per side from the upper and lower control arms. Meaning the travel ratio is much more favorable. Probably 1.9to 1. So a 8" travel shock nets you 15" of travel. Also a stock raptor isn't hard to beat. Current Titans with LT kits are on par plus way cheaper.

Also you think a twin turbo v6 with a 10 speed is a good idea in the desert? Lmao. At a previous race (I believe the BITD) ford had the new raptor run it, at speeds less then 50mph. Lol.

The Warrior is cool no doubt and if those stats are accurate they're impressive numbers. But I said outperform, taken with a grain of salt because I can only compare 1 of each (2013 super crew Raptor and 2007 2wd long travel crew cab Titan) and the rest is speculative.
Obviously the age gap and mileage doesn't make it an apples to apples comparison but the Raptor is much better on the road and performs just as well (driver limited) offroad in 2wd and when out camping everything, interior, exterior, suspension, 4wd option and drivetrain is better.

My 2014 Pro4x cc had a sticker of $43k, there was a 2014 raptor optioned the same and more as the Titan for $58k. To compare a potential production warrior or Titan with mods to the new Raptor it would have to be a 2017 pro4x for interior comparison and warranty with the 400hp gas motor, to get the interior on par with the base Raptor you'd be looking at leather/entertainment etc. That truck will easily be in the high $40s.
The new Raptor will not increase by much call it high $50k's with at least 450hp over 500lb ft of torque and more suspension travel than the current raptor.
There is no way for only $10k to get the 2017 pro4x to compare, body, paint, half shafts, tires, wheels, long travel kit, front diff, headers, intake, exhaust, tune etc and a now you have a bunch of aftermarket components that aren't covered under the warranty. If a Warrior existed I bet it wouldn't undercut the Raptor by more than $5k. If that's the case I say awesome and can't wait to see the comparison test. If we do see the warrior it won't be until 2018/2019, the Raptor will also have the 5.0 twin turbo as an option. Yes it will be considerably more.

And No I don't think the twin turbo V6 is the best option for desert racing but for 90% of the owners I say yes.
