Hello all, I have an 08 and recently noticed an intermittent clicking that sounds like it may be coming from the real axle or wheel. I haven't had a chance to pull the rear wheels off yet, but thought maybe someone in here has had this issue. It comes and goes while driving straight and turning....idk what it could be.

Any thoughts?

Also, I have already completed the axle vent mod

Did you check your tires for rocks?

Not sure if this is a joke or not. However, I live on paved streets not too many rocks if you are serious. Was thinking more along the lines of brake components coming apart and bouncing around inside the parking brake area. or axle issues. My parking brake does not work, but I do have the new parking brake parts to replace. Just thought I'd ask in here too.

I had the same thing going on --- it was my parking brake. My passenger side parking brake was non-existant when I bought the truck. Someone just completely removed it. I finally tore into the driver side this week to have a look and due to the same sounds you are describing... When I took off the rotor, I found the brake shoes were just loose in there laying around as well as a spring for the e-brake. I'm guessing the teeth in the speed sensor wheel grab the spring from time to time and make that sound... Since I removed the spring, the e-brake shoes, cleaned all the rust - it's nice and quiet now :)
