I have a 04 Titan that's been cutting out at 2500rpms whether I'm going down the freeway or leave out of the driveway and get on it that's the only symptom I have no issues starting or running etc. I have replaced the ecu relay no help. I have the white ipdm board. When I do the test on the ipdm board it checks out good.What would be my next troubleshooting steps replace ipdm board or get dealership to check my fuel pressure to rule out fuel pump failure? Also if the truck is in limp mode will it still run along at 65mph on the freeway?

In my experience, fuel pump failure doesn't select a specific RPM to show itself, but you could have a problem there. Have someone put a pressure gauge on your rail to check pressure. If it shows good then go to the next steps.........

Start with this; http://www.titantalk.com/forums/tit...t-throttle-accelerator-position-learning.html

If that fails to solve the problem it just may be the IAC/Throttle body....find yourself a complete used throttle body and replace. If you end up having to go down that path, start here with these guys JAPANESE TRUCK DISMANTLING . You may find something locally, you may not.

If it was a crank sensor, I would suspect you'd have some random misfire codes in memory.

I have a used Throttle body and IAC sensor. I would suspect though that its your IPDM. I had some of the same symptoms a while back and replaced the Fuel Pump, IAT and throttle body and it finally ended up being the IPDM. Also if you have an older Titan its kind of an upgrade to get the newer style IPDM. I actually have another IPDM that I bought too. It did not work for me though I guess it was the wrong one for my truck. Try that throttle position and Ecu reset though.

I had the same issue a while back. Did you get a check engine light? I didn't get one with the issue I had. But what I did was I cleaned my intake and throttle body along with all the sensors to each and the acceleration pedal as well. Nothing seemed to help me. I thought it might have been the IPDM as well until I read more into it. As stupid as it was I'm thankful it wasn't an expensive fix. Mine turned out to be the thermostat was bad. I read in the manual and online that, although the temp gauge reads fine, if the thermostat is faulty, it'll hinder performance of the vehicle. My truck wouldn't go above 2500 RPM but it would still accelerate slowly. Scary driving on freeways like that! Since a thermostat isn't that expensive I'd say you could try that. Good luck!

Only codes I have is a P1273 which is the drivers side primary cat I changed that out a few weeks ago. I have the stillen long tube headers which means I had to cut a new O2 sensor and extend the wires I'm thinking that code is due to my poor wiring skills as i just rewired it and found a bad connection I also get a P1147 & P1167 code every few days due to the secondary cats being gone due to the headers. I keep a scanner in the truck to delete the secondary cats codes as they come up. The only symptom I have is surging at 2500RPM's I will look into the thermostat. It's currently at the dealership trying to be diagnosed unfortunately they are repainting their shop which they failed to mention to me and have had the truck 2 days and have yet to work on it.Before dropping it off I cleaned the MAF sensor & replaced the ECU relay neither helped.

I have an 04 Titan SE 4x4 original owner with 42,000 original miles. 2 years ago I went through the ECU issues which ended up replacing the IPDM. I never had a check engine light during the whole ordeal. The truck would just stall while driving, I’d pull over and start it back up. Since the IPDM replacement it’s been running great for 2 years. Recently I have had the same stalling issue and it has gotten progressively worse to the point I can’t even drive it. The Check engine light is on now and the code is P0335 and C1130. I replaced the crank position sensor (made sure I got the right one because of the bulletin I saw here about the cam sensor mix up). I reset the codes and the truck cranks but is very difficult to get running. If I get it running I need to give it steady gas to keep it idling. If I don’t it dies. I decided to put in new plugs and air filter (plugs gapped to spec) since it was due. I have a few questions I’m hoping to get answered;
1.What other things could cause the crank sensor to throw a code?
2. After pulling off the top cover and replacing the air filter I noticed a vacuum line on the firewall side of the air cleaner that isn’t connected to anything. It looks like it comes from the base of the engine and is connected(by clamp) to the air filter housing. Does this go to something I am missing?
3. Where is the ECU location on the new IPDM? The new one has far less ports than the original (it’s the black replacement). I have a few spare ECU’s that I bought years ago and was hoping they would fit the new IPDM.
Any help would be appreciated.

Hey guys I have a miss or skip whichever u wanna call it. Now in the morning when I start the Titan it runs fine, I park at work it sits in the sun then I crank it to leave work put it in drive and it has a Lil miss when I try to accelerate this happens at very minimal speeds and rpms, and goes away after driving. Any ideas
