My 08 Titan Pro4x has 70k on it and seems to be following the standard Titan problems. As much as I like to move on to a different truck, new ones are ridiculously expensive which in turn makes used expensive. One the issues that I have with this truck is the diff locker. I live on a hill so in the winter when it get a little slick I have to put it in 4wd to pull out. I did not have this problem with my Sierra. I have to pull the axle to fix e-brake detonation damage. So is it worth going the extra mile and changing to a tru trac? Not sure if it's worth it. Or should I just bite the bullet and move on?

A true-trac is a *lot* cheaper than changing trucks. The E-locker rear diff is the biggest weak spot on your truck (that and exhaust manifolds), so if it were my truck I would just change it out.

Cheapest thing to do is perform the " E Locker diff mod "
This will allow you to make the rear diff a posi at the flip of the switch. No reason to buy a True Trac in your case. The TT is amazing!!! But you just want a cheap reliable fix install the switch for the E locker mod and enjoy ( Never engage the switch while in motion )
