A few of you may remember me, but most won't. I sold my 05 years ago. Well, I am currently looking to sell my G8 and get back into either a Titan or Armada. Being that I have decided not to finance, it will likely be a 100-150k mile vehicle. I just wanted to see some of the issues that you guys have seen with higher mileage. Thanks for any info!

I remember you, silver 2wd Crew Cab. Thought you got into a GTO with a stall; looks like you traded up?

No problems with engines and transmissions, just the same stuff you remember.

Yes, I got a GTO after the Titan. I sold it when me and my wife bought a house. Then I got a G8 GT. I remember all the common issues, glad nothing else has popped up.

It's worth noting the paint problems that continue to crop up. This is particularly noticeable on the roof, hood and horizontal surfaces. I own an '08 KC LWD and just repainted the roof after years of trying to use sealants and polishes to address the thinning paint.

The truck still holding up 2004 162,000 miles...only thing change was the starter and you the recall, batteries, brakes pads once, tires etc etc.paint faded on the hood but thats comes with age..getting the whole truck repainted once I buy my wife a vehicle,, Aramada or Titan the 4 door..other then that..still rollin like a champ :smile:

My 2010 spun a rod bearing.

10 years old and 85,000 miles. On my 3rd set of tires. Just replaced shocks and struts. replaced brakes once. Just replaced a headlight that had condensation in it. 1 battery. Paint is fine. Just washed it and people asking me if I just had it detailed. She is now finally broke in and runs better than new. Looking to get at least another 10 years out of her.

Saw a good looking '06 at a car lot for $10,700.

I have seen that Titans are going for more then Armada's, which is why I've leaned towards Armadas...plus I guess it would be something slightly different. I've found some very clean 100k-170k Armadas for under 10k. Titans under $10k are usually around 220k+ miles.

0five-cc who?? Jk bro. Welcome back man. My buddy just got an 05 or 06 armada with over 150k. He did a basic tune up and I havent heard of him having him any troubles with anything. I have 103k on my 07 and seems shes ready for several more. Just get one dude and if you wait for the half tons to come out or the new madas im sure the price is gonna drop even more.

Damn a lot of old faces! I'm trying for sure. I obviously would prefer an 07+, and there is one a couple miles away. It's not priced like some of the non VVt's though I think the 07 is a 169k Armada LE at nearly $10k. I am going to look tomorrow though. I am also going to look at a slightly lower mile QX56, but its pre 07.

My only problem was tail pipe melting through wires at rear of truck. Sure did cause some strange problems.
Regular stuff tires, oil etc. But I only have 50K miles.

2008 with 110k. Exhaust rusted through at muffler flange (broke apart after I pulled it from the truck), manifolds, normal wear and tear on everything else.

2005 with 95k. Driver side exhaust manifold crack, rotted exhaust at muffler flange, replace rear axle seals every 20-30k. These are the major issues I've had. The truck still runs as good as the day I bought it, paint is holding up, hope to keep driving it for another 3 years at least.
