Signed the paperwork today, picking up a 2017 XLT 6.7 Ford tomorrow after they install the gooseneck hitch. Dealer gave me 13,500 for my pro4x with all the options available in 2011 and it had 129k miles. I STRONGLY looked at the XD's, i drove 5-6 of them, but they just aren't rated to tow enough. I would hate to buy a truck and immediately limit myself.

I'm going to miss the titan, i've been driving titans since i was 16 (yea i was spoiled get over it lol). I joined this forum when I was 20 and realized how many fun ways there is to blow money on these trucks. I'm sure i'll lurk and call out PaleRider, FishnAlaska, and you other goons.

none of my stuff leftover is cool...i sold my mid travel back in december or something. parted all my stuff out. its just a leveling kit now. truck stayed at FORD tonight. i'm in a f150 tonight.

I've got a set of depo headlights in the garage if you want. free.99. no harness and no bulbs. i'll throw the other box in with it. disassembled 2011 lights with random retrofit parts plus whatever led cubes you want. haha.

I really like the new super duties. F250? But man your truck was worth more than $13,500. I am sure the new ford is a total bargain! Must be some write off involved. The XD closest to it has to be like $10K cheaper too. Must be THAT much better. I know that they are sick. Any body who would blame him needs to remember only one number. 925. As in a stock 925lbft of torque rating. Gerritt could afford to gain like 28,000 lbs of sympathy weight for the wife when and if he knocks her up. And it still wouldn't change his mpg too much. Let me know when you are ready to sell the Ford in about 8 years. Ill take your sloppy seconds. If we are still allowed to drive trucks ourselves by then...

I felt lucky i got 13.5 tbh. its got some obvious issues from being used for work, dents, scratches, and issues from offroading, more dents and scratches. The XD is a better bargain and you get better options BUT if i ever got hit or hit someone when towing over 12k i wouldn't wanna deal with the potential issues from towing over the truck's rating.

She's due in December!

Eh don't want a 3/4 with IFS. All the contractors and farmers around here have switched for Ford...they love them. Gonna give it a go. i'll let ya know if it sucks lol

it was the very same words like that that pushed me to make the Merc`s and Fords fast to destroy my highschool/co workers/friends chevy`s and nopars. I`ve seen a lot of cool rides back in HS and wish I had never sold my 60`s-70`s cars. but hey...

the nopars weren`t even a match even when I put together a Roadrunner clone for a friend with his recipe, the Gran Torino just crushed him, good ol 351C.

there was this one chevelle put together with duct tape and chicken wire that hauled azz I just couldn`t beat at the line, and was a good friend we had a ton of fun back in the day and no one killed each other over brand.

had a Nova SS and a camaro 4spd car, but still have the Fords in a special place.
my blood was always Blue, The titan was a fun project, I`d like to have a stang again some day...:wink:

Good luck with the Ford, you'll need it! Hopefully they've ironed out the issues the 250's have had. Had quite a few guys here at work basically have them blow up around 80k miles, but they were around the 2011-2012 model year.

Bitter/Sweet I'm sure. I couldn't come to terms on the diesel XD myself, no matter how hard I tried. I too went another direction, buying a 2017 Denali w/the new L5P Duramax. It's been a hell of a ride for the past 13 years/ three Titan's later. I will never knock the Gen1, they all have been great trucks. I too will be a lurker. Good luck with the new ride and thanks for all your contributions here on TT!

I drove a bunch of diesel XD's and one half ton pro4x. All of them were great trucks for sure. The ford's torque is unreal though
