No, I don't think you have too. Although, it would be better if you did replace them with High-Flow CATs because the stock CATs are prone to failure. If the stock CATs are heated to much when welding the headers, its a possibility that they can fail.primetime said:

Since the 08 4x4 has 4 cats will would i have to replace all 4 if i wanted to get shorty headers. It might be a dumb question but just wondering.:computern
