I had some clearance issues with installing JBA lt headers hitting the drivers engine mount. Squeaking like a MF! I decided to take off the mount to grind them down but realized they were cracked. Been considering PRG poly engine mounts.

Wondering if any one had any rubbing issues with JBA LT and PRG mounts?

It would be quite interesting to find that the PRG motor mounts provide more clearance to the headers. I hope you get an answer!

The engine mount was cracked or the headers?

It sounds like the mount was cracked, but im not sure either.

Im curious if the PRG engine mount give clearance as well, as my driver side is rubbing and im dreading pulling the header off again...

Yeah the mount is cracked. I am also wondering if the PRG engine mounts will cause vibrations similar to there transmission mounts.

Take one for the team! Im not too worried about a little more vibrations, my truck already has vibrations from all kinds of other things, tires especially...

Is it just me, or does the "Headers rubbing engine mounts" thing seem to be popping up more and more?
I think there have just been a few issues brought up at the same time recently and it seems like a lot.

JBA and myself feel like the rubber isolator in the stock motor mounts "sag" and cause the issue. This is just our opinion so it's good to check that driver side mount at installation in case a little grinding is needed for clearance. Sure is easier than finding the issue after install is complete. Most do not have any issues only a few have been reported to me.

Yeah im sure theres several people, like me, who did not even think to check that. So i didnt even know mine was rubbing until someone mentioned it on here, then i went out and looked, and mine is resting on the mount pretty good.

Explains my rattle too.
