I was driving home today from work while in 4H going about 40mph when i started feeling a jerking feeling every so often. At first i thought i hit ice then i thought maybe the transmission was down shifting or something. then it did it again with a loud clank. Any ideas?

Pavement condition? Wet? Snow-covered? Dry?
Turning or going straight?

pavement condition went from snow to pavement back to snow etc. going straight down the highway.

The jerking could be the ABLS kicking in. The sound could be the same thing if it is more of a grinding noise, not a clunk.

I would guess you were hitting patches of dry stuff and the front tires were grabbing.

I was thinking the same thing about the front tires but i wasnt sure if i was hitting ice patches then dry patches. i took it out today for a short spin and had no issues. I just bought the truck a month ago. It is a 2006 with 58k on it. So i think ill just take it into them before my 30 day 100% they pay is up for them to check it out.

thanks for the input
