What is the difference between the JL Audio 300/4 and 300/4 V2 multichannel amp? Also, what is the difference betwen the 500/1 and 500/1 V2?

They both look like the same amp to me, and personally I am not even sure if it is worth paying the extra money for the newest version of the same amp.

There is NO doubt that JL makes a good product, and they do. I have been a JL fan for years and they earned their mark in the industry. They are just overpriced.

Newer company on the rise... Clean power, over built and one of the best warrantys in the industry. Best customer service as well. I love these amps and own 4 myself... Sundown will put out much more power than JL and draw about half the current in the process. I have tested them head to head. There is NO comparison. JL burns up a lot of efficiency trying to re-invent the wheel. JL still makes clean power with acurrate control but overpriced and in-efficient.

Hit tech12volt up for better pricing. Sundown is comparible to higher end amps like Zapco, Arc Audio and brands like that but without the big sticker price.

good lookn amps might have to sell my jl,part of the reason i chose my jl tho was i had single cab silverado so not much room for a buncha amps without doming out the bed and i tend to get new vehicles alot so i hate doin major mods.

The Sundown 1000D is tiny and puts out about 1100 RMS. That is more power than the 1000/1 JL. It is much smaller and a fraction of the cost.

The new JL amps are neat but again they waste too much time and money on things like RIPS. Drives the cost up and the efficiency down. You want small amps buy Premiers.

The V2 series improves upon thermal performance and boasts a stackable chassis. No real big deal there... I got my 500/1 for under $400 new. It has not failed me yet.

The 100.2 from Sundown is equal to the 500/1. Little SOB has some power.

Well bridged at 4 ohms the Sundown 100.4 would put out about 4 times what that Infinity amp does if that answers your question...

One sub or 2? Since that is a 2 ohm sub you want either 2 of them, or a mono amp like you have.
