Ive owned w0's w1's and w3's even a w7. the W3 is worth the extra money no question they hit hard, get a Kinetik Battery cap with that and you will be set

W3's are a much more powerful sub than the w0 or w1. All are a very good quality. The w7 is out of this world loud and if you can afford them...wow!!! If not the w3 is a great less expensive alternative. I loved mine and have been the best subs i have ever owned to date.

I had 2 JL 12'' w1v2 subs in my truck for like 3 months and they sounded damn good. They were nice and clean and had pretty good spl, it shook the Titan pretty good. They just cant really hit that deep, they're loud but not deep if that makes sense, I now have 2 12'' JL w3v3's and they definately hit harder than the w1v2. There is really no comparison imho between the two. The w1v2 is a great sub that sounds really good and for the 100$ cannot be beat. The w3v2's are just plain nasty and hit really deep and hard, while maintaining the sound quality JL is known for. Either way both are good subs and you will be happy with both unless you are a serious bass head then get the w3 or you might be disappointed.

Keep in mind that the w1's only need 5 in. of mounting depth while the w3's need 7 in. I had to get a custom box made when I got the w3's and they are a tight fit under the seats in my CC Titan. Get a good amp at least 250 rms for the w1 and 500 rms for the w3's. 4 gauge amp kit.

Well. My decision is made then. I will go all out. Custom box so I can fit 7" depth - 12" w3 JL subs and an amp that will be sure to pound it. This will be done at street sounds in fairbanks. So any one on more tips to go on about this project?

im running 2 10"jlw6v2's and it is definetly loud. slwilson built my box and he saw it when i had 1 sub in it and it pretty damn good then. it is rediculous loud now. your w3 will hit much harder then your w1. my w6's are rated for like 400w rms optimal and im running a 4ga kit and a fierce digital cap. looking to upgrade my hu next to really get all i can out of them
