Well guys I just got my 08 CC LE 4X2 and I was wondering what torque management is? and the truck feels slow(I know its still waking up but it feels really sluggish). Is it just waking up or is it the torque management? It will be slow until it hits around 4,000 revs and then it takes off!

And I freakin love the Titan:) , already took down an 07 CC F-150 triton:gunz: :gunz: :boxing: :gunz: :gunz:

torque man. the restriction of throttle until 40 mph. and yeah put some miles on her....she'll wake up. congrats!
thanx man:) is there a way to turn the torque management off?
well how much will the uprev tuner now help with? hp? torque? it didn't say on the website? anybody have the tune?
My 08 is the same, really sluggish until around 3500-4000rpm:crying:
I still love it though, almost 3000mi on the clock now:)
I know the tq managment is there, but my 08 runs good. I really do not notice it. I have not hammered it yet, but it does feel stonger than my 06. My 05 armada does have the most low end grunt, but still, I do not see a real huge difference.
Does anyone have any idea how TM works?

Yeah basicly the computers has maps built into it. It will only open the throttle so much until a certiain point is met. It also controls the timming and fuel. Basicly there is no manual control of a titan, every signal you give the engine goes through the computer first unlike most trucks/cars which you have control of the throttle and the computer controls the rest.
I have no desire to floor a heavy truck from a dead stop, although I can understand there are those that do. I have only owned my 08 LE CC for a month now and challenge you try the following. At 18 MPH, stomp on the gas and hold it until about 60 MPH. Report back here and describe the smile on your face (I have one just thinking about the 3 or 4 times I have done this).
Done that :)) and it only has 400 miles on it. I break them in like I'm going to drive it. TM??? My 08 appears quicker than my previous 04 and 06.

Haha!! I have had that smile on my face alot lately and only 300 miles, I love the Titan:) . Glad to hear that the 08 still feels stronger than the 05's or 06's, cause after 3,000 miles and some royal purple im gonna take on an 07 hemi with exhaust. Think I got it? By then I'll have a tech 12 box with two jl w3's and hopefully an intake. what do yall think of Volant? maybe the afe stage two?
are there serious advantages to royal purple?
It's been said around here that the Royal Purple is good stuff, but it doesn't hold up very long. Mobil 1 seems to be the preffered synthetic.
Royal Purple, Mobil 1, and Amsoil are all very good products. RP should be my oil of choice as they are made here in Houston, but I am a Mobil 1 guy. I know the techno guru's pulled samples and what not. This was once a very heated topic. I think it ended up being Amsoil, RP and then Mobil 1 as far as lubricating value. It has been a while though. But as mentioned. I think M1 lasted longer, and is cheaper for most. I get mine from Wallyworld and it cost about 30bucks all in for an oil change.

Hope this helps.

and yes, my 08 is way quicker than my 04.... the smile is All Consuming.
