30K recommended maintenance:

30000 Mile Service
• Replace engine oil
• Replace oil filter
• Replace drain plug washer
• Replace automatic transmission fluid
• Replace engine air filter
• Replace manual transmission fluid
• Replace in cabin micro filters
• Rotate tires (except 350Z))
• Inspect CVT transmission fluid
• Check manual transmission fluid
• Perform brake inspection
• Inspect brake lines and cables

• Inspect cruise control vacuum hoses
• Inspect rear and front differential oil
• Inspect engine coolant
• Inspect transfer case oil
• Inspect drive shaft boots
• Inspect steering gear and linkage
• Inspect suspension ball joints
• Inspect and adjust drive belts
• Check cooling system hoses & connections
• Top all necessary fluids off
• Adjust tire pressure
• Lubricate door seals, hinges & window guides

You can really do all of this yourself in probably 3-4 hours max in your driveway. I believe RockAuto.com has the in cabin filters for our trucks at a good deal, and you can get oil from tons of places depending on your brand preference. If you tow or go off road a large amount then you'll definately want to do the transmission and differential oil changes. Hope this helps.

I've skipped all of the "suggested" maintenance so far with the exception of changing the tranny fluid at 60,000 miles and changing the rear end fluid once a year.

Other than that a few sets of tires, change the oil twice a year, changed the air filter a few times and a new set of pads and rotors on the front earlier this year.

2004 with 92,000+ miles.

Majority of this stuff you can crawl under your truck and check it yourself. Tranny services are pretty overrated at 30K....I would consider doing it around 60-70K. Unless you tow alot (4000lbs+) or lock in more than 500+ miles a week, then you should do the 30K-40K service.

I just rolled 53,000 and did the difs and transfer case. The difs weren't to bad but the transfer case oil was UGLY! I had the stealer do the tranny fluid flush. I think the transfer case should be done at 30,000 as bad as mine looked.

Nissan recommends that you NOT flush the transmission. Just drain and replace. (See NPSB/07-027)

One way to save about $5 per qt on the tranny fluid is go with amsoil ATF. It's $10 a qt online and is completely compatible with j matic fluid. Many people on here are running it because it's cheaper and better than factory.

Changed my transfer case fluid today at 31K miles. It was a little on the brown side. It's surprising since the transmission fluid is still fairly pink. You would think that the transmission fluid would go bad before the transfer case. The drain plug had a thin layer of "sludge" on it. I pumped in a little over 2 qts of Castrol Import Multi-Vehicle ATF.

I checked out the read diff fluid. It's starting to get a little bit of a brown tint to it. It's not due for a change until 38K, since I changed it originally at 8K miles. The front diff fluid still looks almost new.
