Soo i was bored yesterday and decided to weld in some cutouts to my exhaust so i can run it open..... this is what i came up with. I took my whole exhaust system down and welded it together sounds really awesome and ive been driving it around with it open and love it.

Let me know what u guys think. ill prob be getting the electric valve for it soon

A cutout is used to be able to open up the exahaust so that you can bypass the muffler look at the picture its lets the exahaust exit before it flows into the muffler so you have a more free flowing exhaust

So did you seriously feel any difference? I like them and love the idea!!! I have looked at them a few times online, and yes the power assisted valve is the way to go!!! I was waiting to get some feedback from someone. BTW.....it was rattling my laptop!!! :lol:

I did loose alot of my low end power but i dont know if its just the sound ripping at about 4,000+ rpm or the truck feeling a little bit faster. who knows i know on the dyno the numbers will be way worse for the low end but i just like to have some fun and then when ever i want just bolt the plate back on it and it sounds like just a normal exhaust... I did it yesterday and the cut out only cost like 40 bucks and spent about 1 hr welding and measuring the cut out to fit in the system so it would be all allined when i was done... let me know if u want some more pics or whatnot.

I think on top end you might see some improvement. Sounds like a easy cheap way to have some fun and possibly get some good use at the strip?

YEP you got it thats all i was looking for...... just to have some fun. Be Louder if i want and to have it open on the strip so i can actually hear my truck goin down the strip. we will see about the speed. My buddy has a titan too and we both have the same stuff done to it and are pretty much even whenever we race so im goin to race him soon and ill let you guys know the differance.

cool idea. i had an electronic servo that i could pust a button and would upen up a cut out on my down pipe on my old SRT-4. i loved it. im not really of a fan of the clapping sound that titans make when opened up like that though.:cheers:

Ya that sound does kinda get to me but its pretty funny when u go past someone and they plug there ears ahahh thats why it has a plate too so you can just take it off when your in that kinda mood where you want it to be all loud

Sounds cool man i would go with an electric! I think you still my be able to find an old skool cable pull open/close too if you want somthing a bit cheaper

Sounds ripping - very hot-rod-ish. If you came up with an insert and a waterproof, easy to install servo that would open it up you may just make some money!

Sounds pretty good!! Ive always thought about installing the electric cut out, never knew what it would sound like until now though. Would it be possible to be able to put what ever it takes to make fire come out the cutout? I know its not very practical but would be fun to play with at night. Anyway just a thought I had. looks good and sounds good.

Throw a spark plug in there and have it attached to a switch you cut on and off. If there is a enough exhaust gas coming out it will ignite, I think. Sounds good anyway
