Just one complaint so far

So I've had it since Feb. and i only really have just one complaint. It's an LE with the Captains chairs and the driver side chair squeaks a lot. It's getting annoying. Only really does it when I make a turn. I am sure some of you others have this issue. Anyone know if the spot, wherever it is, can be oiled or something? Is it the springs in the seat? Seems to be coming from the right side under the butt cheek or thigh.

Well I guess that's it.

Thanks..........

I was at my dealer and I heard a customer and a tech joking about a squeeky seat, I thought it was just that....a joke. But now I have heard mention of this on several threads. I haven't had this problem but I did hear the customer mention, "nope you got it now I can keep my sanity." Next time I am at the dealer I will ask what the fix was. I feel your pain, I would drive myself nuts trying to track down and fix the noise.
I had this very problem and fixed it myself yesterday. It was driving me NUTS, like a metal on metal squeak similar to a metal seat spring scraping on metal as it moved.

Anyway, here's what it is. The seat belt latch. If you push the arm rest up and then push the seat belt latch forward/down as far as it will go, you will see a metal tab. This tab limits how far up the latch will rotate up and the stop is a shiny piece of metal.

If you push the latch up against it, hold it there fairly tightly, then move it back and forth to the left and right you may hear it. I sprayed the tab and the piece of metal it rests against with some graphite (dry) lube and the squeak is gone. I can't tell you how happy I was, I actually had an appointment with the dealer on Wednesday to fix whatever it was before the long drive to AZ this weekend. Squeaks drive me *nuts* and this was like fingernails on a chalkboard.

So yeah, I'm super happy it's fixed and it was something very simple. :D
im having the same problem. im a bigger guy and when ever i move in my seat it does it. i has taken my truck in twice and it still does it. im going out of my mind. anyone have any ideas?
My 07 passenger seat was doing the same squeaking; but went a way on this own at about 10k miles. I am at 13k now and no annoying squeaks.
I'm going to have to get creative with this, the lube has worn off and I'm getting the squeak again. Maybe some felt glued to the tab will do the trick, if it will stay stuck on that is.
Had the same problem w my 04 infiniti qx56. along w many others... my solution, paid carmax $6k and they took the vehichle off my hands.

Seriously, i did hear that the felt thing really works!!!

Well I haven't dug into it yet buy I guess I will pull up my sleeves this weekend if I have time.

Thanks guys...........

Look for the TSB on the seat squeak. I beleive it is more common for the 2006 model year. I just fixed it myself on Saturday after it driving me nuts for the last year.

http://www.titantalk.com/forums/titan-faq-howto-area/25587-tsbs-pdf-format-3.html

Tools you will need are:

Socket set, standard and metric
Drill
1/8 drill bit
rivet gun
1/8 rivets
red thread locker
paitence

There are more steps involved to remove the seat cushion than given in the TSB. If you have any basic mechanical skill what so ever it will be easy.

Tip: Instead of applying thread locker to all 4 screws I just replaced one on each side with a rivet. The upper portion of the metal peice you drill into is almost impossible to get a bit in without breaking it. I simply skipped that step and put another rivet in the lower portion.

sorry im just a truck driver. i dont have those tools so ill just take it in.

That's the TSB for the passenger seat with the fold-flat option, the fix is for excessive side-to-side movement and associated squeaks. I've had this TSB performed and it is a different issue than the driver's side seat squeak which, in my case, is caused the seat belt latch.
My seats in my 08 don't squeak but my drivers side captains seat feels like it shifts everytime I take I hard turn. Like it's a little loose or something. it doesn't squeak but it feels like thumps into place when I take a hard left turn.

I may have to look under the seat and see whats under there thats making the thumping noises.
