I have a 2008 Flex Fuel with 98k miles. Had cracked driver manifold since a little after 80k so finally started researching the noise and thats when I learned about the cracked manifolds. So being the cheap a$$ I am I just wanted to patch (furnace cement and pipe wrap, lasted 1 day) the hole in the manifold and save the money beings Im only trying to get a few more years out of the truck. So found some oem manifolds with 60k miles I was going to buy for $100 but it fell through. I didnt need the performance or extra gains. Just wanted the noise gone. So I finally sucked it up and made the order for the JBA LT today with the gaskets and extra nuts and few studs. I will be getting the uprev and then bpipes from cajun. Not sure which bpipes just yet. I currently have a series 40 flow master with dual turndowns and its stupid loud in the truck so I will need to do something about that as well. I cant seem to find the install step by step with pictures. Does anyone have a copy with pictures, pretty sure I understand it but just would like to have pictures to show my dad who is helping with the install. If so can you post a link or send it, thanks

The long tubes should come with instructions. Both sets I ordered did. Make sure you inspect the long tubes for damage and workmanship defects first, then before all else, throw away the provided paper gaskets...DO NOT USE THE PROVIDED GASKETS! THEY WILL FAIL! You will need to do something about the noise...I'd ditch the flowmasters altogether and get an afe, or jba system if I could do it again...the cajun setup is good too, just more expensive and there are too many muffler choices imo. I have the cajun complete system with jba lts and it is great! You get what you pay for and top notch quality workmanship and customer service...Jeff and Joe are good dudes, and more than willing to let you know what to do, what not to do and what you ate doing wrong. Keep us posted on the install

Yah I already ordered new gaskets to replace the JBA gaskets. Yah there are alot of options when it comes to exhaust, and gets quite confusing. Hard to tell the sound through a youtube video. I know I just want to get rid of this drone I have, to loud.

Well I hate to be the one to tell you, even the oem exhaust has some drone. If your pockets are deep, I hear the corsa claims to have no drone. You can get real close to no drone with the cajun catback with jba muffler and ultra quiet resonator from what I've been told by Jeff at cajun. Like I said before, I'd ditch those flow masters and run the piping to at least behind the rear wheels...

Can`t go wrong with Jeff and Joe.
Cajun exhaust is what is on my rig currently with the Vibrant UQ res. no drone.

it would be helpful to post your location, and maybe a nearby forum member could lend a hand.
I'm from New Orleans and the job shouldn't be a problem for me and my dad. Both are very good with tools, well mostly him but he's teaching me along the way lol we both just like to know what we are doing before we do it and I've read enough to understand so was just hoping to find a pic thread for him to get him up to speed faster.

cool!
you may need to clearance the motor mount brackets if your headers are resting on the mount brackets.
Use all Nissan gaskets, and only lift the engine a little to help with room to slip in the headers.

good luck, enjoy!

Ditch those turndowns man that's going to do a lot in itself. I have a turndown I throw on now and then, but it doesn't stay on more than a couple days

Why not just have UQs welded into your bpipes if you're that concerned with the drone?
Yah that's the plan is to get the Cajun b pipes with them welded in.
Also going to look into the MagnaFlow muffler and see what it sounds like then if needed a QA after the muffler.

Yah I def. Need to route it further back out the truck. It was cool at first, but now driving a lot of the highway for hunting season bothers me lol

The Black Widow claims no drone and we proved that wrong both 250 and 300 series. A customer just cut up his $1100 Corsa system for a JBA muffler do to drone as well. The quietest system you will find with headers is JBA and the Ultraquiet. I'm telling you straight i have tested a lot and either stock or JBA UQ are the ticket. You will absolutly LOVE headers and Uprev. Choose exhaust wisely.

If it's 4wd take the front diff out.
Soak the manifold nuts with pb blaster a few days prior.
I also had a small oxy acetylene brazing setup handy for heating the nuts.
Only Jack one side of the engine at a time, loosening the engine mount bolts without removing them completely.
It's not hard once you get the old manis off.

Yah I will def. look into the JBA muffler soon as I get the headers installed and uprev. After those its bpipes and muffler. I will be contacting you soon to talk about uprev, bpipes, and more about the muffler.

Its only a 2wd so shouldnt be as bad. Already started spraying the nuts today and plan on installing next week. When loosening the motor mounts its only 2 bolts on each side correct? Total of 4?

Loosen the 4 bolts each side that screw in the block. Dont removed completely just loosen to a thread or two is holding them in. Jack motor up about a inch or so to get the stockers out and then headers in and set it back down.

Yup, 4 bolts each side, do one side at a time. You want to actually tilt the engine.
