Dyno #'s for intakes dont mean squat for actual street gains. In reality, they are all very close you will not be able to feel a seat of the pants difference, being that you go with a name brand that is tested and tuned to read correct MAF readings. Injen is asome in apearence and never heard a complaint. Pricy is the downfall. Other than that i would recromend also The AEM Brutforce like you mentioned, and the S&B (Very similar to volant with a slighty better oiled filter, and cheaper ). These 2 are cheap and from my experience S&B's customer service is the best in the business

Alright...so can I take that to mean that I could adjust the ECU for whatever mods I get? I'm a bit confused because I see people like toomnymods having the Uprev people work on that themselves?

Anyway, as for the $300 option, I assume you just tell them what mods you have and they work with that?

From what I can understand, the $700 option is the best for the money...plus I'd hate to be stranded without an ECU for however many days they needed to reflash it.
Yes Uprev is indeed worth the money. The $700 way is the best route. You tell them what you have and they create 3 "MAPS " you want. EX: 89tune, 93 oct tune, valet tune etc. And if you add another part you can run a 0-60 or 0-90 or whatever, and they will look at it and fine tune it. Then they email you the tune and you reflash in like 4 minutes or less. That way you have a perfect A/F ratio etc. Ive had Hypertech and superchip programmers on my silverados that didnt do anything for the$ 450 price tag. Plus my motor ran lean as i eventually found out.
And yes your Cruise control buttons work the same. There is a sequance to change maps i wont mention on the forums because it is like a security for us lol.
My advice is get the intake and exhaust you want and have fun. Then when the new found power feeling wears off, get uprev. Then it will literally make your truck a "RedBeast"!! lol Members report an average of aound 1/2 sec gain in 1/4 mile just by removing the TQ mangment.

By the way, one last thing...what if any maintenance is the CAI gonna need?
not much at all. You can re oil the filter if it gets dirty. S&B will probably throw in the re oil kit very cheap or free if you order it direct. Free engraving on the clear lid if you want too
