Hi so I just finished my 2016 Titan xd sl 4x4 test drive and I was not like wow I need this truck next even more so because of the price tag I plan to now drive the dodge 2500 1500 and the Chevy 2500 and the ford 250 and 150 because I think that 55,000 out the door for what u get u can get on any truck plus more I'm not saying I didn't like the drive it road great and I personally like the look of it but I think it's over priced and for the most it can get better spent if u need a beer truck I will just keep MODing my 09 SE Titan for a few years instead

that was the most difficult review i have ever read i mean a few punctuation would be nice. jokes aside, you're right, for that price ($55K), you can buy a Ram 2500 4x4 Mega cab with the 6.7 cummins. i paid $45k OTD for my Ram 2500 CC 4x4 Outdoorsman with the 6.4 Hemi. When i checked out the new 2WD XD platinum at my local dealership, they wanted 58K. the only thing extra that truck had from my ram was leather seats and seat warmer for the back seat. I'm glad i didn't wait.

That was harsh, but very funny. I know what the OP was trying to say, he just crammed into what sounded like one breath if he was talking.....run on sentence guy busted by the punctuation police...
Eh, without punctuation I feel like I'm reading a child's words.

Just looked at a RAM 2500 Power Wagon CC and priced it at 56k on the website with a few options. Granted, you don't ever pay sticker price really, but in terms of interior it seemed lacking compared to a Platinum XD. I've had cloth seats and leather seats and I will hands down pick leather whenever possible.

A Limited Mega Cab 2500 with the 6.7 I6 was 64k before options. Not saying you're not getting more bang for your buck, but the prices aren't even comparable.

Whatever sticker prices are on the rams, especially the 2500s, minus about 10K in rebates/discounts. sticker price on mine was 54K. I got it for 41K before taxes/license.

Check out this ram New 2016 Ram 2500 Laramie For Sale in Caldwell & Boise, Nampa, ID | Vin:3C6UR5NL6GG186213, it's in Idaho, alot of people from a ram forum flock there from all over the country. There's a shuttle that takes you from the airport striaght to the dealer. I wish i knew of the dealer before i bought mine.

I gotta stop looking at that site. getting me depressed.

5-hour drive from me. Guess where I'm cross-shopping...

If you go Ram, I sincerely hope you have better luck than I did with mine. It was, bar none, the worst vehicle I or anyone in my fa!ily has ever owned. From small to large issues, I never stopped having trouble, from within 1000mi after I bought it on up to when I sold it. I won't ever own another Chrysler product.

I must have. I've had three Dodges, all have been pretty good trucks. The last one was the 3500 dually that I traded for the Titan.

I got 5600 miles on mine and knock on wood, it's been a great truck. love driving it. I think it's just a matter of luck. My titan was 10 years old w/ 200K miles. not one issue. other people buy titans back to back and have issues, go to the "problem" sub forum, you'll see. Every car/truck has there issues. I just think the Ram is hands down better looking/tougher, not to mention cheaper than the titan xd.

Today I test drove a SL XD. The Interior- As soon as I sat in the seat, the first impression was the seats are very plush and comfortable. The ergonomics/layout is driver friendly. I don't like the small rear window. While looking through the rear view mirror, the two frames don't allow for clear sight like our current T's do. I also don't like the rear seat headrests how far they stick up. They look like two rabbit ears. Overall though the interior is nicely appointed. Driving- engine noise- the diesel is extremely quiet. You don't realize your driving a diesel until your stopped at a red light. Even under hard acceleration, it's still quiet. Driving 55/60, the XD is still super quiet. I was pleasantly surprised. Acceleration is not blistering nor does it pin you in the seat when the turbo spools up. At road speeds of 45mph+ when you hit the throttle and the turbo does spool it makes decent power, but nothing earth shattering. Without doubt, the low end torque can definitely be felt between 1400/1600 rpms. The tranny shifts quick and firm. There is no delay/searching or finding of gears. Nicely done Nissan. Having both 1/2 & 3/4 ton trucks, the XD falls right between both in regards to ride quality. Not too soft nor too firm. Overall a nice ride. Nissan hit it's mark there. I did not like the steering/feel. To me it was to loose for a size truck of it's caliper. I prefer something with more resistance/firmer. My overall opinion is if Nissan indeed thinks there is a niche between the 1/2 & 3/4 ton market, I think they hit their mark. I'm still not sold 100% on the exterior. I hate the front fenders and the Ford looking nose. I'm not nuts about the fender flare design, but could live with it. The overall negative for me- the MSRP price and the lack of a 5/100k mile drivetrain warranty. The cost vs benefit and the mediocre payload/towing capacities I am stuck on. I left liking the truck more than initially first thought, but I didn't leave with the "warm and fuzzy" feeling that I have to have this truck like I did with my past two Titan's. I will patiently wait some more and see what the gasser has in store for us.....fingers crossed!

I failed to mention the brakes were very responsive with a high/solid pedal. Certainly will be adequate for towing especially when coupled by a brake controller.

when i drove an SL the steering felt wicked heavy lol. I drove at night and didn't even notice the rear seat headrests. they are super tall though, very Ford.

sales guy told us the same warranty 3yr 60k, BUT he said he wouldn't be surprised to see it get pushed to 5/100k. he said the NV's originally started at 3/60 and got pushed to 5/100k.

Haha I just looked at one at my dealers lot. 2016 Titan XD Premium edition or some crap, 4X2, leather, no sun roof, no DVD player @ $58K laughable.
I must agree. The one I looked was the same way. Certainly lacking options for such a premium price.
