How are y'all? I have a set of KMC XD Series rims and unfortunately with mechanics chipping the chrome foil on it every time I got my tires rotated and the winter conditions, the center caps are toast. They turned the color of Statue of Liberty and they were just an eye sore so I took them off yesterday. Though it looks kind of cool without them right now, maybe because it's new, I will eventually need some new caps. While looking around, I see that there is a matte black model of the 1079L145A and was wondering if the protective coat/film was any better on the black ones. The chrome ones were almost like they had aluminum foil on them. Does anyone know if the matte black are constructed any different? If anyone has any input or any further questions, I'd love to hear from you! Thank you for the insight before hand and I hope y'all have a good night.
