I use Lexol and it is good stuff. However, I think the real problem is the quality of the leather. In my experience Japanese (Acura and Infiniti) leather is not very good. It is thin and cracks no matter what you put on it. I rate it slightly better than US domestic (Pontiac) and far below the quality of German (BMW), Australian (Holden built GTO and English (Jag). The later three are the real deal - very thick leather that lasts forever if cared for, without cracking and can be redyed if needed.
