Hey everyone! I'm new to the forum so sorry if this post is in the wrong place or if there's a topic out there already about this, I looked and couldn't find one. I bought a 2004 Titan back in October and haven't really done much to it yet. I would like to get a light bar for the truck and would love to see how all of you guys with them mounted them! Thanks in advance!

Rough Country makes them for our trucks. But there's also a lot of EBay versions for our truck too!

I prefer the window channel brackets ... a little more costly but they are different and require one hole to be drilled in the roof.

Make sure you get butyl tape and shove that in there with the power wire on the outside and inside .

I'm not a fan of the light bar across the roof thing but if you're going to to do do it right the first time. Go with rough country $60 brackets or the ebay ones that look exactly like it. Don't try to do the ones in the door jams (I've never seen them on a titan and IMO it looks like garbage)

If you've seen the darkness out here and the blankets of fog you would beg for a led light bar ?...

darkness shall consume thy Titan ..

If you're talking about using it for fog conditions you want yellow and lower to the ground. Bright white up on top of the truck is going to blind you. +1 for those against bro brows though. Next you'll be telling me you want to squat the back end...

I'd say if you're looking for places to actually put a bar you can get a bull bar with a mount, in the lower grille, or in the upper grille if you have a billet style.

Ummm so high beams have more lumens than led light bars ?

Anyone that says a light bar is ineffective in fog doesn't know what they are talking about .

I turn all my light bars in thick blankets of fog and I'm able to see the road for at least 50 feet . ( I'm not using eBay light bars bud ?)

If you buy cheap lights maybe you may have that issue . However, I have Hids in my headlights and fogs w/ a 50" 5D cree light bar & 40" 5D Cree light bar and I see just fine.

I'm done after this since it's not what the thread was started for, but it's not the amount of light it's the color of the light. White light spectrum (4.5K-6K) reflects much more off snow/fog than yellow light. Higher up also means you have more of the fog being hit by the light which means more reflecting.

Montana, here is where I will be mounting my bar and pods. I haven't installed them yet because it's been too cold to work on the truck and I have to make a custom mount for my light bar. It's a Defiant Bar, but I don't think you'll be able to find one unless someone is selling used. I bought mine from Honda.

I had to show the senior director of my department what I was laughing at so early in the morning. He was not amused.

With me it's kinda like chrome... never ever liked it.

But most of the roof mounted bars I see here in TN (along with the idiots that drive with them on all the time) are 16 year olds driving the jacked up Chevy's or Fords where mommy and daddy bought them that way or funded their mods.

The kind of guys that will go into an empty lot in a neighborhood and do donuts when it rains (my neighbors down the street).
