Level Kit - Best/Worst

927 Views 9 Replies 8 Participants Last post by  rgregory1965
I am a new member and I am curious to know about leveling kits for my Titan. I know this probably has been beaten to death, but any assistance would be much appreciated. I've heard that rubbing and hard knocking has been an issue, and now that my warranty has run out....I am looking to either level or lift. I have ordered my new BFG's (mud - KM2) to replace my old BFG's (mud -KM's). Besides that...all is stock at this time. Thanks in advanced!

Welcome to TT. I took my chances and bought the cheapest kit I could find. It is the Top Gun Customs kit sold for around $85 on Ebay. It has worked just fine, although I would recommend buying a PRG kit because it is easier to install. Also, If you have a 4X4, I don't think Top Gun makes the 2" kit it requires. Best of luck and enjoy the forum.:D
Pretty much everyone around here will recommend the PRG kit. There is also another kit available on eBay by NCD. I think that these are the 2 most popular. I will be going with the PRG soon.
go with prg, where else can you have your questions answered about what, where, and how to do anything right with our beloved Titan.I bought the leveling kit and spoke with Greg on the phone about options, ideas etc.Just a good person, good product
I have the NCD kit. I'm very happy with it and it cost less than the prg Kit. You can buy it direct from them at http://www.ncdcustoms.com/html/nissan.html#Nissan
the leveling kits aren't really for off roading or anything if thats what you were wondering. they are just for looks and tire fitment. choices, i have the readylift but i paid too much. prg is extremely favored.
Basically stick with a kit that is a strut spacer. Avoid the kits that are polyurethane bushings. You have to disassemble the strut and your ride quality suffers greatly.
I appreciate the assistance. I am going to take this one step further...how about lifts? The dealership where I bought my titan lifted a couple titans that they sold and they installed Fabtech's 6" lift. Depending on how my Christmas bonus goes, will decide the fate on suspension lifting.
well still on the leveling kits, i would say get one (if you were going to) that is solid billet which would basically be the PRG and NCD ones. Just my personal opinion, i think it would be better for the kit to be solid.

Question. I also have the top gun spacers and they have served me well. I am confussed about your statement about the PRG being easier to install. To my knowladge they both install the exact same way, on top of the strut. How would that make one easier than the other?
