2.5" will level you out pretty well. As for brand, I'm loyal to PRG but the only real difference is that PRG comes with a bump stop, NCD's kit doesn't. If you go NCD you can get the bump stop online at Autozone. I've seen them in stores, too, but it seems to be hit or miss.
