Hello,
Just curious to some peoples thoughts or experiences with the rough country 2 inch leveling kit which is the ones that go ontop of the struts. Ive heard it will ruin the front end but then i met a guy at work today who said hes had them since 07 and no problems. Just want to know if it will be fine to put them in or if i should go with the bilsteins. Thanks!

Depends on the year of your truck and if your 2wd or 4wd

You should be good to go with the 2" spacer. In 08 they changed where the coil buckets were welded on, so after 08 you would have only been able to throw a 1.5" spacer in there without having to add aftermarket upper control arms.

The spacers take away from your suspension travel keeping the suspension forced down 2 inches. If you drive through roug areas often it can speed up the wear on the front end.

70k on mine so far, and I don't baby it one bit.....2" is fully within the range of motion for the suspension, it will not over extend or over compress anything.

I have a pro4x with the spacers. The front wheels at stock height travel up a certain distance and down a certain distance. The spacers make it where the wheels don't travel down as far. I have had my spacers on for roughly 70k miles as well. Thankfully I havnt had any issues but in the truck world, the spacers speed up the wear on all makes and models. Would I not put the spacers on again? No. The clearance and stance is worth it to me. Have I used the spacers in the past? Yes. Will I use them in the future? Yes..

I have a 2008 Titan 4x4 SE, what size leveling kit will work on mine? I noticed you said after 08 you can only go 1.5 inches. Did you mean starting on the 2009 models or do the 2008 models also only allow 1.5 spacers? Will I need to replace any other parts when I install this?

1.5" for you, anything 08 and above. Unless you add aftermarket control arms, then you can go up to 3"

Rough Country would be the least expensive at about $350 and only plan on getting up to 2.5" of clearance, some have had issues with the ball joints on them recently. I would suggest getting a set of DirtKing bushing arms they run about $500 and give you plenty of clearance for 3". Mike at Off road warehouse (forum vendor) can get you set up with Bilsteins and DK arms as they work directly with both dirtking and Bilstein.

I've had 2" spacers on my truck for around 100k miles, no issues yet. I've run them on my '08 Pro4X and had coil bucket contact for probably 65k miles before I replaced my UCA's with Dirt King. No contact at all since changing the arms out over 30k miles ago.

Good setup, should work just fine. Pre 08 4wd can handle the 2" spacer up front without adding uppers.

2" up front will level it, but then adding the 1.5" block in the back will leave the front still lower. If you want to be level and keep the rear 1.5" block then you would need to go up to 3" in the front, but that would require Upper Arms.

I have 2.5" spacers in the front, actually removed the lift block in the back in an attempt to get the truck to level out. I still have about a 3/4" of an inch difference between the front and the back (back is still higher), also installed the after market UCAs since my truck is an 09 PRO4X CCLB.
Getting ready to put in a 3" spacer to try to remove that 3/4" difference.
