I am very new to the forum and also inexperienced with suspension so I am going to ask a question that has probably been asked before that I am confused about.

I own a 2wd 2004 Titan with stock suspension that I was wanting to "beef up" with a lift. My original idea was to get a 2.5" spacer to level and throw some 33s under it, but now I am looking at a set of Bilstein 5100s on the middle perch along with a 2 or 2.5" spacer, depending on if the newer Billies still add .5" at the bottom perch or not, and a 1" block in the rear to even it out. So I guess my question is, is this configuration wise/possible, and would I need new UCAs?

I'm trying to get a set of black fuel vapor wheels with -12 offset and 295/70/18 ridge grapplers if at all possible. If not, I'll just have to go back to the drawing board

Bilstein's are 0, 1, 2 now. You'll most likely need new UCA's. 295/70R18 is a 34.5" tire.

Since you're 4x2 the possibilities are much better than 4x4. There is also a spindle lift to consider. If you lift it too much with suspension (coilover, spacer) then you will need aftermarket UCA's to avoid coil bucket contact (CBC).

That should work fine, but you might have trouble fitting those 295/70's in there unless you do some trimming.

I'm think I'm fine with doing a little trimming. Would you suggest that lift or a 4" spindle lift with a 1.5" block in the rear? I'd like to do whatever is less of a hassle, even tho I won't be the one installing it all

bought most of my suspension from Mike! i think the Maxtrac spindle lift along with the Billy's will be the way to go. as far as the rears i'm not sure what size block you would need to run

Why does being 4x2 matter?

Constant Velocity axle angles? Maybe stretching the CV axles at extreme angles makes them "too short"? IDK
Exactly. I don't think you can put a spindle lift on a 4x4. At least I've not heard of that happening.

Early model Titans had a tendency to pop the axles out of the differential when too much lift was applied. 2007+ models got a newer differential where that was less likely to happen.

Can't go above 3" on a 4x4 without a bracket lift otherwise CV angle is too high. Not a question of if but when on your CV axles having issues. 4x2's don't have that issue since you don't have a front differential.

I think the smallest spindles you can get are 4"? Never really bothered to look since I have a 4x4.

On 4x2's you can replace to the 4" Maxtrac Spindles and still retain factory ride while adding bigger wheels and tires. ADD a set of Bilstein 5100's to gain 2" more inches or a set of ICON/KING/Radflo Coilovers to get you 0-3", With that said, Adding an Aftermarket UCA's will help prevent CBC (coil bucket contact) and allow more downtravel. The mentioned Coilovers has an option for extended travel of 1" which the UCA's will allow more articulation.

4x4's only have options for Bilsteins 0-2" & Coilovers 0-3" or a full 6" Bracket lift kit.
