Has anybody tried using boiled linseed oil to improve the look of faded plastic? I have friends with other brand trucks who swear by it.

seems like product made for plastic would be better and have sun protection - linseed oil is sticky mess - thinned with turpentine makes great raw wood, hand rubbed finish after many multiple coats

Agreed- consider something like 303 Protectant on plastic, which has a built-in UV barrier. Not too expensive and readily available nationally.

I don't mess with linseed oil...
Not burning down my house

Penetrol. No joke. Did wonders on my Titan and Xterra plastics. Looked almost new.
