I have a '05 CC SE 4x4 and I'm wanting to run long tubes. I have true duals with cat-back straights, still have all 4 cats and have a bully dog tuner, I've been told I'll need to get an upset time after the install. Is there any way to avoid needing a tune? Am I looking at a bigger chunk of change than under $1000?

no way to get around it, Uprev is the only way to correctly adjust your AFR's. You will run rich and eventually burn your valves and cause your cats to fail which could in turn end up having burnt media from the cats being sucked back into the engine and cause more damage.

Even if you didn't "need" a tune, you'll want one. A common theme among my customers after we've tuned their truck is that they wish they hadn't waited so long to do it..

An Uprev tune does not cost $1000, and you can always sell the Bullydog to recoup some of the cost. Feel free to PM me any specific questions-

Even with Uprev and Bpipes your still coming out cheaper than the premium grade manifolds that fail as well. The labor is why you want to do it right the first time.....trust me.

Got that right. Took me around 8 hours to do the job this past weekend. If you have a 4x4, I'd imagine you will be in the same ballpark for time. I would imagine the 4x2's are a little quicker since there isn't an axle right in the way the whole time. I agree with the Cajun B-pipe team...do not skip the tune...

I'll never see that kind of mileage considering I drive 8k a year in the salt belt.
