Hi,

Buying a new pick-up truck this week. Looking at either the Titan or Ram (owned them all before and ruled out F-150, Tundra, Silverado).

Looking at Titam Pro4X/SL or Ram Rebel/Laramie (4x4). For me, it's going to come down to price. Right now, Dodge is offering about $10k off of MSRP. I've seen some Titan's listed with some big discounts, but they are inclusive of rebates that I don't qualify for.

Long story short, any recommended dealerships that are offering some good pricing on the Titan? I'm in Austin, and willing to fly and drive for the right truck. I'm just trying to reach out to as much resources as possible.

Thanks

Not interested in your truck.
I'm sure he's only trying to be helpful. After all, isn't this site for informational purposes?

I bought two 2017 Titans from Jenkins Nissan in Lakeland, FL. I worked in the car business most of my civilian life, and I know it pretty well. That being said, I know the tricks and less than truthful patterns when I see them. During my search this time, it seems like I dealt with every jackass on the market. Needless to say, I was really happy when I found my way to Jenkins Nissan. It was the easiest car deal I'd ever made. I got to the dealership at 4:30 and at 7:00 I was rolling out in a nicely detailed '17 SL 4x4 with a full tank. I got a fair trade value and the finance guy had his act together. This was in November. Two weeks ago, I went back and bought and bought another Titan and the experience was the same.
They are located between Tampa and Orlando and I'm sure they'd meet you at the airport. My sales guy's name is Rick Sauvigney (pronounced sa-vin-yee) The dealership phone is (863)686-2800. If you're interested, PM me and I'll give you his private cel number.

I live in Dallas and I bought a Titan XD Gas Platinum Reserve couple of months ago. I was looking for a 2017 Titan 1/2 Ton but I found that the rebates on the XD were far better. There are not much 2016 Gas remaining around (I wanted a gas, no need or care for a diesel that are still plenty around everywhere), but I checked every single inventory in Texas, Oklahoma and Louisiana looking for a 16 Gas XD. It happen to still one of the choices I found remain for sale. It is a 16 Gas SL trim with a huuuuuge discount. Look at Mac Haik nissan in Corinth, TX for the white 2016 Titan XD SL 4x4
This dealer is close to the Dallas-Forth Worth area, so you can try to deal by phone and travel to DFW airport.
Hope you get a great deal!!!

Another DFW-area dealer to check out - Nissan of McKinney. I had a good experience with them on my 2014 Titan, and they have been sending me deep-discount offers on the 2nd gen. Some of the salesmen are pretty high pressure. If you end up going there, look up Gene Price. Reasonable guy.

Although I buy parts at Courtesy Nissan in Richardson (online through Courtesy Parts - good discount that you don't get if you walk up to their parts counter, BTW) I can't recommend them for auto sales... couple bad experiences way before getting close to a negotiation. Walked out on the salesman the last time. Horrible.

Good luck!

I'd highly recommend talking to my friend Eric Jackson at McGavok Nissan in Abilene, Texas. He usually works great deals. You may have to work him a little though, but tell him Russell Z. Sent you. Here is the dealers #. 325-695-2970

I just purchased a new 2017 Nissan Rogue SL for my Mom from them as a gift to her. No dealer could touch the deal.

They have a few Plats for $7k off.

I don't agree with you on this. I don't think he was trying to hijack your post, he was simply submitting an alternative for you to consider. After all, your last statement did say you were trying to reach out to as many resources as possible......

Actually what he was trying to do had very little to do with suggesting an alternative or helping me. It was about helping himself. He's in a situation with the XD that he's desperate enough to post a "buy my truck plea" to someone in the market. By "resources", I was referencing the Titan as indicated in my title and throughout my post.

I look forward to this running another 4-5 pages of back and forth ranting.

Everyone will eventually chime in with their opinions and that opinion will be driven by what is important to them. Myself, I have 3 kids and crash test ratings are big on the list. Quality, reputable dealership/service, overall value, and re-sale value rank high on my list as well. So, of your two options, I'd pick the Titan.

Vehicle details - Titan
Vehicle details - RAM
Vehicle details - Tundra
Vehicle details - Silverado
Vehicle details - F-150

I live 20 minutes from IIHS in Ruckersville, VA and have been lucky enough to see several of these tests (small overlap), live. Its brutal. It completely changed the way I purchase vehicles and think about safety. The small overlap test has changed the way manufacturers build vehicles. After each test, we're allowed to walk down to the crash site and the first place I look is the driver leg area. Check this out:
