Looking for better bushings

2923 Views 8 Replies 5 Participants Last post by  54warrior
Does anyone know where I can find urethane or delrin bushings fro the Titan?

Specifically, I'm looking for upper control arm and end-link bushings.

I've already received the lower control arm, sway bar and steering rack bushings I ordered from PRG and have ordered the Moog ball joint and tie rod package. I have a Bell-Tech 2"/4" drop kit on the way as well. I'll just need a rebuilt steering rack and I'll be ready to start tearing it down.

So, anybody have a source for the bushings?

I dont think you can replace just the bushings on the upper control arms, and the end links im not sure either, why not replace the entire unit for a new one? Theyre not that expensive

EDIT:
Doorman upper control arms are $43 on rockauto, or $61 for moog:

Moog end links are $16.

Thanks CVTitan05, I have seen those before. The pricing on these parts sure has come down a lot recently. The issue I have is that Ive never heard of all but one of these manufacturers before so there's no real way to verify if it's a quality part. Secondly, at best I'd end up with the same average ball joints and crappy rubber bushings the truck had when new. I'd really like to end up with something better this time around. I've got Moog problem solver ball joints on the way and really wanted to stay as far away from any rubber bushings as I can. I've seen rubber upper bushings online so I'm pretty sure they can be changed if I can source the upgraded ones.

I know I've seen an end link kit with urethane bushings before. I just can't find it now. They seem to come with all the custom end link kits for lifted 4x4s but I am unsure if they'll fit my truck.
Well good luck with the upper bushings, not sure where to find those, but if your just looking for an upgraded end link all together, PRG does sell stock replacement end links with heims, for $79.

Thanks again, these are some of the extended ones I've seen but I'm planning to contact him tomorrow and see if they'll fit a lowered setup.

Contacting him would be best, i know they are an OEM replacement and should fit a lowered truck if you are using stock end links now. The only reason these are a little longer is because some people have experienced the stock-length end links flipping over, and the sway bar turns up-side down, and then rubs on each wheel while turning. The slightly longer end-link prevents this from happening.
For clarity, those are for the Total Chaos bushing-style UCAs. They are not specifically for the OEM UCAs. They may fit, but will require a set of steel sleeves (not included) at least. And it may not fit at all.

Those are def not OEM replacement bushings.
