So I just had jba headers installed and my red light comes on at a stop

Just left autozone picked up some coolant and distilled water and filled resivor up to max line

Light still on

Is it possible low oil pressure bc of the headers without a tune?

Oil light at idle is low and driving goes to the middle.

Just changed oil penn plat high mileage like 300 miles ago

Long tubes have nothing to do with your oil pressure, i guarantee that. Coolant low, oil low? Keep up with the maintenance my man.

What kind of oil did you use? Is the oil serviced adequately? Generally, when an engine cannot maintain oil pressure the bearings internal to the engine are worn and trashed. Again, this didn't happen from a long tube header install.

I don't know where the sensors are on the Titan without looking at the manual, but I suppose it's possible someone knocked them loose or damaged them such that they aren't holding pressure any more. Are there any leaks under your vehicle? That's the first place to start. If you see coolant, I would then let someone pressure test the cooling system see if it holds pressure - if it doesn't, you'll see where the leak is pretty fast. As for oil, are you saying the low pressure light comes on, or just that the gauge swings down low while you're idling. If it is just the gauge, that is probably normal. On my 04's - I've had 2 of them - the pressure gauge will drop to somewhere around the 1/4-1/3 mark at idle, and go as high as 2/3-3/4 mark under throttle. Just cruising it stays about halfway.

jd,

The early Titans have the real time oil pressure gauge that indicates what the oil pressure is actually doing. The newer Titans, like my '14, the oil pressure gauge is more of a dummy idicator. If the oil pressure is within the set parameters, it shows just about in the middle of the gauge. If the pressure is outside of those limits then nothing. The oil pressure transducer is located by the oil filter, but doubt that is damaged if the annunciator light only comes on when stopped (low idle).

I used pennzoil platinum full synthetic high mileage
The coolant needle does not move and stays under half
The oil needle like you said is real time
The needle drops down to 1/4 at idle and halfway while cruising
The rpm while idle is like 400-600 and you can hear and feel in idle when the rpm fluctuates.
No leaks under vehicle
The red light with coolant and oil emblem comes on only at complete stop

As I recall, when I did the Uprev tune I had to raise the idle RPM. 400 RPM at idle sounds low to me.

And this is located above the oil filter? I pulled my oil dipstick and it wasn’t wet really at all so wiped off and did again and barley anything so I’m puzzled by that bc I literally put 6.5qt oil in 300miles ago and it has sat in the driveway besides 2 days at shop to have jba put on

Maybe sabotage by the shop....

Can someone please refer me a part number and installation process for this oil sensor

Service your oil before you do anything. There isn't any oil to pickup, you will not have oil pressure...or a rotating engine for very long

you don't need to change the oil, just top it off. I don't think you understand that if there is just a smear of oil on the dipstick, that is not good for the internal workings of the engine.

If your oil level doesn't indicate between the add and full marks, it is not serviced properly.

Not trying to be a jerk, but there won't be much to change if the stick is dry. Maybe the shop that did your headers drained the oil for some reason? Make sure there isn't a hole/crack in the oil sump where they might have jacked/manipulated the engine to fit the headers.

Hope your problem is resolved with fresh oil in adequate quantity. I wasn't trying to be condescending earlier, just making sure...hard to tell sometimes what people do and do not know

Did you check the stick after running the vehicle to check for leaks after you changed the oil? Because if you only put in 6.5qts, you're likely running it low, by the time you figure in that it holds nearly 7qts, and the filter holds another third to half quart.

I highly doubt the shop did anything to your oil. Do a change, check everything for leaks under normal idle operation (and idle should be up around 650-ish, not 400) and see where your pressure is and if the light is on at idle or not.

Ok that’s great and all I appreciate everyone’s responses but everyone seems to be missing the fact there is not a drop of oil in my driveway. Where did the oil go??

I changed the oil say on Wednesday evening, by Saturday she was immobile. Thursday, Friday and Saturday morning no oil leaks visible truck running strange bc of a misfire bc cats clogged to hell

The truck sat on my driveway which is a light color not a dark asphalt like the road. It sat again after back from the dealer for 2 weeks in driveway again with not a single drop or leak of oil.

6.5qts don’t just disappear. Someone tried putting my truck out of the game.
