Lots of money.Hey guys i have a bud that put a ls 2 from a gto in his 240 sx. How hard would it be to put one in a t and what would you need?
Just be sure to swap the Valve covers! With a Torch, Welder and money, anything is possible.
If you're going through the trouble, might as well go all the way and install a ZZ572.Still cheaper than the combined expense of a Stillen Supercharger and the bleeding of money to make it work.

why not just stroke or turbocharge your titan motor?Hey guys i have a bud that put a ls 2 from a gto in his 240 sx. How hard would it be to put one in a t and what would you need?
How do you figure? LS2 is a great truck engine and as a matter of fact ALL LS family engine are great and have tons of aftermarket for them :redblob"Agreed and would not be worth the time. LS2 is a hotrod engine, not a truck engine.
Yeah put the 572R in there and then put a sticker that says "Got traction?" :teethmastFor a project truck, I'd like to buy a cheap 454SS with a bad engine. Shoehorn in a 502 or 572. That could be a lot of fun.
Because the LS2 is geared for midrange/top end power, not low end grunt that a truck needs. Now a 6.0 or 6.2L truck engine would be a more likely candidate because they're geared for truck use, long runner intake and torqey cam. I'd rather have the ZZ572 vs ANY LSx built engine. LSx engines are awesome in their own right but where a 454 cu in LSx engine is almost maxing out it's potential @ 600-650hp the ZZ572 is just starting to warm up. Besides, anyone that knows anything about those 572 engines should know they make a LOT more power than advertised. How do you figure? It would be easier to sell your Titan for a GM truck :teethmast
The TBSS has an LS2 with a different manifold but its still a LS2 engine and its an SUV not a car. A simple cam swap and manifold change and you got yourself truck LS2 engine.Because the LS2 is geared for midrange/top end power, not low end grunt that a truck needs. don't listen to the guy you're arguing with... many a dune-buggies, sand-rails and many a trophy-trucks and protrucks that run the baja 250, 500 and 1000 have LS motors... cheaper and easier to obtain performance upgrades for.The TBSS has an LS2 with a different manifold but its still a LS2 engine and its an SUV not a car. Also there are LS427 TT making way more than 650 hp. The LSX will run circles areound that 572R
No your misunderstanding... Im talking about the LSX block that handles 2500hp not LSx production engines (LS1,LS2, LS3, LS6,LS7, LS9) .. All the LSX bock engines that are being built are all over 1500hp not 650.. Look it up its a sick *** block and a great foundation for a race car/truck :redblob"
Yeah GM LS engine are the most popular engines for off roading these days and are seen in many engin car swaps too, Nissan 240, RX7, Volvo, Mustangs, Jeeps, even Hondas now :eyebrow:don't listen to the guy you're arguing with... many a dune-buggies, sand-rails and many a trophy-trucks and protrucks that run the baja 250, 500 and 1000 have LS motors... cheaper and easier to obtain performance upgrades for.
One of Dad's cousins put one in an RX7. Had to do a bunch of other mods to get it to keep traction. That thing's a beast.Yeah GM LS engine are the most popular engines for off roading these days and are seen in many engin car swaps too, Nissan 240, RX7, Volvo, Mustangs, Jeeps, even Hondas now :eyebrow:
i couldn't agree more. i cant completely understand why i see Chevy engines in fords these days. about 10 years ago given a Chevy engine was cheaper but these days you can make the same horsepower with a ford engine in a ford vehicle for the same price. Not to make a sh*tstorm or whatever but Ford knows how to make a stout engine too. This one is NOT an aftermarket piece. As is when you buy a GT500 with a pair of big turbo's.
