Agreed and would not be worth the time. LS2 is a hotrod engine, not a truck engine.

With a Torch, Welder and money, anything is possible. :D

If you're going through the trouble, might as well go all the way and install a ZZ572. :) Still cheaper than the combined expense of a Stillen Supercharger and the bleeding of money to make it work.

Horsepower: 620 @ 5500 RPM
Torque: 650 @ 4500 RPM

572 Crate

HAHA yeah i could see it now! "is their anything I can get you today sir to go with your 572 crate engine before it ships?" "Yeah can you get a set of valvecovers that say NISSAN?" HAHAHA

Man look at the torque curze of that 572! It would feel like driving a diesel it has so much bottom end. There's no replacement for displacement!!

How do you figure? LS2 is a great truck engine and as a matter of fact ALL LS family engine are great and have tons of aftermarket for them :redblob"

It would be easier to sell your Titan for a GM truck :teethmast

Because the LS2 is geared for midrange/top end power, not low end grunt that a truck needs. Now a 6.0 or 6.2L truck engine would be a more likely candidate because they're geared for truck use, long runner intake and torqey cam. I'd rather have the ZZ572 vs ANY LSx built engine. LSx engines are awesome in their own right but where a 454 cu in LSx engine is almost maxing out it's potential @ 600-650hp the ZZ572 is just starting to warm up. Besides, anyone that knows anything about those 572 engines should know they make a LOT more power than advertised.

The TBSS has an LS2 with a different manifold but its still a LS2 engine and its an SUV not a car. A simple cam swap and manifold change and you got yourself truck LS2 engine.

Also there are LS427 TT making way more than 650 hp. The LSX will run circles areound that 572R

No your misunderstanding... Im talking about the LSX block that handles 2500hp not LSx production engines (LS1,LS2, LS3, LS6,LS7, LS9) .. All the LSX bock engines that are being built are all over 1500hp not 650.. Look it up its a sick *** block and a great foundation for a race car/truck :redblob"

don't listen to the guy you're arguing with... many a dune-buggies, sand-rails and many a trophy-trucks and protrucks that run the baja 250, 500 and 1000 have LS motors... cheaper and easier to obtain performance upgrades for.

Yeah GM LS engine are the most popular engines for off roading these days and are seen in many engin car swaps too, Nissan 240, RX7, Volvo, Mustangs, Jeeps, even Hondas now :eyebrow:

Cheaper? How so? BBC is one of the cheapest engines to build nowadays? The ZZ572 is all forged from the get go and I was talking about n/a power. The LSX in crate engine form goes for 14K and it still doesn't have the low end grunt of the 572. They're both great engines and can both easily support 2000hp but if it were my money, I'd go with the 572. Parts are cheaper and all you need is a cam swap to go past 700hp n/a. I can't even imagine what kind of power the 572 would make with a Procharger F3R on it or a big pair of turbos. The 572R engine makes 818hp n/a out the box on pump gas. Yes it's 12:1 and you prolly shouldn't run pump gas in it but it can and has been done. Look at Nelson Racing Engines, they have a car with a streetable TT572 that is de-tuned to just "1000whp" or so and runs on pump gas.

One of Dad's cousins put one in an RX7. Had to do a bunch of other mods to get it to keep traction. That thing's a beast.

Not to make a sh*tstorm or whatever but Ford knows how to make a stout engine too. This one is NOT an aftermarket piece. As is when you buy a GT500 with a pair of big turbo's.

i couldn't agree more. i cant completely understand why i see Chevy engines in fords these days. about 10 years ago given a Chevy engine was cheaper but these days you can make the same horsepower with a ford engine in a ford vehicle for the same price.

and also don't we own a Nissan???? why put a government owned engine in a Nissan? needles to say i wont buy anything the government owns 60% of. understandably we cant find too many aftermarket parts out there for our vehicles, i just cant foresee anything chevy in my truck ever.
