Hey guys, I am new to the form. Any insight would be greatly appreciated. This is 2006 LE heavy tow off road. Here goes...My brother and I replaced all the bearings and seals on the m226 Dana 44 3.36 w electronic locking differential. We didn't break any of the electric connectors, we put the backlash back to what it was pre work since we re used the gear sets, and set the pinion pre load at 15 inch pounds of rotational force since final was 30-40 inch pounds once carrier installed. I can not figure out for the life of me WHY the diff WILL NOT unlock now. Does anyone have any ideas or what to try? Any help or insight is MUCH appreciated as it is my only source of transportation right now.

Oh man, that socks.

It's locked even if you unplug the lock wire at the diff?

Maybe the power is applied when it's off so if it's not getting power, it's engaged?
