After doing alot of reading I'm seeing lots of posts stating low end loss with the Bank's system. Can anyone tell me if that holds ture with Magnaflows system before I order it? AEM Burte Force on the way

I have the magnaflow and i didnt notice any low end loss, if anything i thought it improved. but my buttdyno might me a little off, so let some others chime in as well. But i LOVE my magnaflow. awesome sound, great power, i would highly recommend.
Guy's thank you for helping me make up my mind I will order the Magnaflow!
I have a custom magnaflow setup and I love it. I am not familiar with the magnaflow catback parameters but I am running 2.5 dual in 3 out. I may tweak it a bit in the future to try and get some more torque out of it. On Club Titan a former poster did alot of research on the different exhausts by taking them and putting them on a dyno. Alot of reading but I think the info you will want is on the first few pages of postings.

I too have the Magnaflow and just love it!!!

I went with the sinlge side tip because I tow and I did not want to deal with any fit issues with the trailer hitch, plus I did not want the sound bouncing off the front of the trailer all the time I'm towing.

Talking about buttdynos, here is an observation I have been making as my Magnaflow has been on for less than a week. It seems my Tital down shifts less often when climbing hills. I have several small hills on my way to work, they are in a 40mph zone. If I drive about 45mph my tach drops right down to the 1,200 range until I'm almost at the top and it then down shifts and the revs go up to about 1,600. Now with the same speed, the same load, or lack of it, on the gas pedal, the same outside temp and all the other variables I can think of being the same, it seems I'm now almost always able to get to the top of these hills without a donshift.

Could it be less backpressure it telling the engine the load is less and hold off on that downshift?

I have the Magnaflow & AEM. It's an awesome combination. No loss of low end with great mid & top end. It sounds great too!
I wish some of you guys tried the Magnaflow 16780. I would love to hear some reviews on it.

Honestly, I don't think it would make a difference, and what I mean by that is although 16780 includes 2 pipes into the one muffler and the extra pipes coming right off the cat, I believe the overall sound would be exactly the same, as the muffler unit which is really making the sound has got to be basically the same as on my 15848 unit.

That's my story, and I'm sticking to it...

My Magnaflow is used with the OEM airbox with the do-it-yourself mod of cutting the inner tube length, and a drop in Fram Air Hog. The underhood noise is something I did not want to get much louder, although I was fine with the exhaust note getting louder. And I willconfess, the DIY + the Air Hog did increase the induction noise, but not by much at all.

I now have the Magnaflow on both Titan and S2000 (Borla on CRX-SiR) and I have to say, next time I need a performance exhaust, I'm not even going to shop around, I'm just going with a Magnaflow.

They use a different size muffler than the 15848. The 16780 uses a 5x8x24 instead of a 5x8x18.
the system I ordered uses the 5x8x24 whats the difference between the 5x8x24 and the 5x8x18 other then the lenght (performce wise)???

We don't know the difference because there are no dynos for the 16780 5x8x24. According to a Magnaflow tech, the 5x8x24 is quieter than the 18". He said it falls inbetween the 5x11x22 and 5x8x18 decibel levels. Magnaflow has not dynoed the 16780.
do you think the 5x8x24 will still have a little grunt behind it veres stock??

I'm sure it will. I have an 18" on now and love the sound level. I almost ordered the 16780 a few weeks ago until I discovered it had the 24".
thanks Sudden Urge, I quess your not a big fan of the 16780??
anyone running the 16780 please give review.

YW, I want to hear some reviews on the 16780 because I want it...lol. I just hope it's not that much quieter than an 18".
I am thinking of replacing my factory muffler with magnaflow while keeping the factory exhaust pipe. How do you all think this would sound/perform? Any negatives to doing this? If I am not mistaken, the aftermarket muffler is shorter than the factory, so a section of pipe would have to be added. thanks
