Hey all, I'm new to the forum - I've followed it for a long time but this is my first post.

I own a 2006 Titan 5.6 V8 LE. I recently bought a Magnaflow Stainless Cat-Back System Performance Exhaust (Part # 15849) and I took it and my truck down to the local VIP auto to have it installed. I was told that the exhaust specialist at the garage was not comfortable attempting the installation because he wasn't sure if it would fit around the tow package that is on there (which I'm pretty sure is OEM) and that he didn't want to cut the OEM exhaust inlet tubing 12" behind the bracket and then find out that it didn't fit around the tow package after it was already too late.

Has anyone had any problems with this or any experiences with this kind of problem and might be able to offer some advice? Thanks very much for the help everyone! Happy 4th of July!

I have the same system. I have an after market hitch and it does not fit right. I had to hang the exhaust underneath the tow hitch because of clearance issues. It looks ok, but after getting quotes from no less than 10 exhaust shops ranging in price from $250-450 to have them reroute new piping, I can live with it. Some have the OEM hitch and not needed to do anything.

By the way, it is probably the easiest do it yourself job that you can do. One cut, remove the old exhaust, lay out the new, hang and start clamping.
