I cut out the stock muffler and replaced it with the 18" Magnaflow. Pretty easy except for I could have jacked the truck up to get some more work space. First pics are the stock setup. Second pics are where I cut the stock pipes. I cut the drivers side pipe farther forward and at the stock muffler in order to rotate it. I put a sleave over the pipe where I cut it at the front so that it wasnt just butted up. (also because I didnt cut it straight, well ok, mostly because I didnt cut it straight) With the dual 2 1/4" in and single 2 1/2" out the install is pretty easy. The tailpipe fits perfectly into the 2 1/2" side and the stock pipes from the front fit into the dual 2 1/4" side a little loose, but weldable. The sound is perfect, not too loud, but noticable when I want to hear it. It is perfect with the S&B intake.

I could have also cut the drivers side a little farther back, but it still worked how I did it. There would have been a little more room for the welder though.

Looks good! Yes, the S&B with the 18" Mag is a great combo.
looks good. Any butt dyno impressions? Im thinking of doing a muffler swap after finding an 07/08 exhaust to go along with the CAI im going to install. How much did it run you?

What Model# muffler did you use?
BTW nice job, did you weld it yourself?
Here is the website I ordered it from. It was far cheaper than everwhere else. Came in 2 days with free shipping. The part nu,mber is on that page also. Yes, I installed and welded it myself.

What are the inside diameters of the pipes?
