Hello,

It's been a long time since i've posted anything but I was wondering if anyone else had this small issue after installing a mini lift kit. I've had the mini lift kit on now for a few years but within the last 6 months or so when I take slow corners or negotiate corners or bumps I get some ticking sound coming from underneath the truck, it doesn't happen when you are going strait but i cannot for the life of me find anything or spot anything that would be causing the problem. Now the second issue i've noticed is going over bumps it sounds like the truck is clunking, you don't hear it on smooth surfaces. I only have the mini lift on from prg and have slightly larger tires and wheels suspension wise and just a catback exhaust on. Other than that, the truck is stock underneath. Could this be coil bucket contact? If anyone has any ideas let me know. The truck is a 2008 SE with only 63,000 miles on it.

Thanks,

Cody

Your mini lift consists of what? What size spacer? upper control arms? rear block? what size? 2wd or 4wd?

I have the PRG Kit. 1.5inch in the front and 1 inch blocks in the rear. Stock 2008 shocks and I have 275/70 18 tires with rockstar wheels with wheel spacers. I have a video from today so you can hear the clunking

Initially I would suspect worn out struts, then sway bar end links, 3rd Upper control arm ball joints, but those are all guesses. As far as the ticking, since your running wheel spacers potentially something with the hub or front cv axle (if your 4wd)

Yes, I am 4WD and the truck only has 62,000 on it. I'm still running stock upper control arms. I'll have to pull the front wheels off and check everything. I did climb under the truck yesterday and all the boots, and bushings seemed ok. If I can't find it I might have to take it in somewhere and have checked out. I'm really at a crossroads now since I have this Lift and if I need new shocks and maybe more. I might have to just by a lift that comes with new shocks.
