Anyone change the layout of their camping trailer or have any mods you are proud of?
I wish I could customize the floorplans of several trailers...

The removable giant cutting board I installed on the side of my old trailer was invaluable.

Only thing I've done is install an Ultra Fab electric jack, got tried of cranking it hitching and unhitching. Next on the list is mounting an LCD inside then putting a matching cabinet door where the TV is now. I like the layout so no need to change.

Actually I was wondering about this as well. I don't feel comfortable just drilling into the side, seems to easy to cause a leak.

Mines going on the wall between the bunks and dinette area. I've seen a few that did this and they put a small plywood brace on both sides of the wall and drilled and use a lag bolt to fasten them. Attached the LCD mount to the base and your done.

Actually if I was replacing the built in CRT this is what I will do, I am more speaking about the bedroom area.

You made me laugh! Actually my Jayco Baja 10Z tent trailer HAS Dunlop mud radials on it!
It's also got nice alloy wheels too...

Best thing I did to mine was replace the "Camper Queen" mattress with a good quality regular queen. Camper queens are the same width as a regular queen, but 6 inches shorter.

I replaced it with a much better mattress so it is much softer to sleep on and my feet don't hang off the end of the bed.

I had to replace the base with a little longer piece of plywood to support the longer mattress. No big deal.

Got any info on what kind of mattress you got? That is our only complaint with our TT so far.

Just went with a standard Queen size Serta. Be careful not to go too firm since it won't be sitting on a box spring. My wife and I chose our mattress by pulling the mattresses off the beds in the store and laying on them on the floor to simulate not having a box spring.
