I've got a mouse that breaks into my truck (lives in my truck?) and makes himself known if there is any food or seed or wrappers laying around. A mouse!

I park in the garage, windows up... no holes created by me in the cab. No known leaks. All seats are in (no open holes). No tears in the weather stripping that I'm aware of.

I'M MORE INTERESTED IN KNOWING HOW THE MOUSE GETS IN THAN STOPPING SAID MOUSE.

I like mice. Adorable! Smart too. Mr. and Mrs. Blevinger are two of them high-falutin VeeeeheeeeeGAINES, or what have you.

So how is this mouse getting into my truck?

[chewed up hankerchief was under rear seats, spilled some bird food back there]

Check your air vents.

There is also a vent in the rear of your cab behind the seats.

Those boogers can squeeze through very small openings.
Will check behind seats. How would a mouse enter the HVAC system from the front of the truck?

Yeah, maybe a no-kill trap. At least I'll get to meet the lil' guy.

behind the passenger side back seat, that vent is the most likely spot. also check the firewall for widened openings. There's probably 6-7 different places it could get in, I've used most of these to route wires at some point or another. Fenders, that back vent, under the console, etc

Does the vent at the back of the cab have a flap on it? As I recall it did and when you have three doors closed and close the fourth you'll hear it make a noise as it lets out the higher pressure air in the cab due to the door closing.

I keep seeing squirrels up under my truck.

I found a nut under my engine cover a few weeks ago.

Here we go...

At least it's not melons.

Well I can tell you this, although you may not want to kill it, once it starts chewing up important stuff. You will change your mind. We had one get in my wife's 300, it chewed off almost a whole seatbelt. I have three small kids they drop food in her car (they are not allowed to eat in the 2015 titan), even though I take much better care of my truck. I'm telling you if you get a family of mice in there, one day that truck won't start and you'll be pi$$ed that you didn't do something ahead of time.

I don't have mice but I have lizards and frogs living on the outside of the truck. Coming home from MCO airport last night and saw a cool looking suction cup foot tree frog crawling in and out of the side view mirror space between the mirror and cover. Have seen his perfectly detailed tracks in the dew on the windshield in the mornings.
Don't know if he blew off or not, but he was out after dark looking for bugs. He took a wiz on the mirror too. Probably thought the driveway was really windy and then looked around the leading edge of the mirror and said WHAAAAAAAAAAAAA!

Aside from the damage they can do to wiring and upholstery, mice and rats have no conventional bladder and are constantly urinating.
This will leave an unpleasant odor and could be unhealthy for you or your family in the long run.
A snap trap loaded with peanut butter will do the trick. Heartless as it sounds a dead mouse won't come back or produce offspring, there are enough mice in the world to worry too much about putting this one out of your misery.
