2006 Titan LE 4x4 w 18" stock wheels- Stock suspension other than Bilstiens on the front set on middle perch.

I'm wanting the rough Country 2" Leveling kit w sway bar extension.

Then some black 18x9 wheels w some mud Tires for hunting season.
No Pinch Weld mod has been done.

I've read another thread that the Direct Tire guy was all over w great info. I guess I'm an old timer, I remember when buying a wheel and tire was easy. Now it's rather complicated.

Any advice from you guys? Stock are 18x8 wheels, 6x5.5 bolt pattern w stock wheels being +25mm offset?

18x9 changes that a bit. I Alloy wheel Rim Tire Wheel Spoke

A wheel similar to this one. And a tire aggressive like these: Tire Automotive tire Synthetic rubber Auto part Tread

But I realize that size won't fit well.

Just need experienced advisors.

It's still easy, just have to know what you want. Do you want tires to stick out really far? Want something similar to stock with the more aggressive tread?

18x9 +12 offset wheel is the same backspacing as stock. A stock tire will stick out roughly 1" farther than the OEM wheel/tire combo. On my Pro4x that results in them barely being outside the fender. Not enough for me to see water thrown up by the front tires unless I'm turning. I don't have mud flaps.

You can fit those wider tires if you're willing to cut the pinch weld. Any offset that's more negative than stock will also result in more rubbing. I wouldn't go any taller than 34" tire if you're going 12.5" wide as you'll likely run into frame rubbing issues. Once you figure out height, width, and stance that you want, the rest is just figuring out how much you want to pay for tires.

I currently have 18x9 +12 offset with 275/70 tires and will be moving to 295/70 once these wear out in a couple years. That should give me about .5" of tread sticking out of the fender which is what I want and a 34.2" tall tire. I have 3" lift in the front, 1" in the back.

Like LaxDfns15 mentioned. Those RockStar II's will look SWEET! Theres a guy at my gym who has the same wheels and same size tires on his Jeep. Not sure what the offsets are on those Rockstar's but I think most of them come in a + offset. Since you already have the Billy's on the middle perch I think the 2" spacer will be your Max? It'll be firm but search under Bilstein 5100's and there's a lot of info what size Max spacer you can run before having Coil Bucket Contact on a 4×4.

You will most likely have CBC even with the Bilsteins on the bottom setting. I had CBC with my 2" spacer on stock shocks.

So let me ask a few pointed questions.

Those 33x12.5 18's will fit on 18x9 wheels?

33x12.5 18 tires will require the pinch weld mod?

The Bilstiens plus the 2" spacer, from what I read, is the limit before CBC. However, this setup will indeed get CBC anyhow?
What is the next mod or purchase to eliminate CBC?

Back when my truck was just leveled I had Billys on the middle perch with a 1" spacer. TONS of CBC but it did sit perfectly level. I have a 2011 Pro-4x though so CBC is a large problem (all the 08+ pro-4x are really terrible about this) so I don't know how yours would be. Either way it would look, ride, and perform better if you got aftermarket UCAs with the shocks. I HIGHLY recommend the Dirt King Fabrication Heim UCAs, they are insanely well made and will out last your truck if properly taken care of. They can be found here: Nissan Titan heimed Upper Control arms
I woulda gone with these had I not went with their LT race kit. On another note, I had 33x12.50R18 Toyo M/T's on stock wheels when I had that setup...it fit PERFECT...no trimming at all. No rub either. They had about enough room to fit your index finger between the fender liner and the tire at full lock. Idk with aftermarket wheels though, since they would have different offset and such so it would majorly affect the clearance at full lock. As long as you don't go with any negative offsets you should be good though. :rockon

+1 on the DK UCA's! love mine! like what LT_TITAN78 said since he pretty much had what you trying to do when he was leveled with Bilsteins. i believe the RockStars 18x9 are pretty much a stock wheel unless you decide to go with a negative offset which than would push the wheel out and than that's where you will run into rubbing issues. those 33's will fit on a 18" wheels...you'll just have more of a rounded side wall or bubble wall

here's sort of what a 33" tire would look like. these are on a 17x9 wheel and a 18" will be similar but i wanted to give you an idea what the side wall would look like.

I also vote for DK Upper Control Arms. They're more expensive than RC, but they look and perform awesome and Nick is great to work with.

I had CBC with only a 2" spacer. Every truck is different, you might be able to get by without it.

Those 33x12.5's will fit on your stock 8" wide wheels, tire shops will just tell you they may cause issues. Many guys have run them on stock wheels with no issues.

As for the rubbing, I think it's also a truck to truck kind of thing. Some guys manage to fit 35's on their truck with 3" of lift. Some guys rub frame when that happens. If you want to go with a tire that's somewhat stock size you can try 305/65R18. That's 33.6x12 instead of 33.3x12.5. The only issue is there aren't many tires in that size and the price goes up a bit. Here's the wheel gap on stock tires (33.2x11) with a 3" lift in front and 1" block in the back.

So let me put out this summary:

The truck is 10 years old and has 161,000 miles. It is my daily driver and I take it hunting and fishing each and every time. I'm 47 years old if I ain't hunting fishing or at work, I'm at the house.

I can see me getting a new truck in about three or four years. So putting a ton of money in this truck more than I've already done is not what I want to do. It already has the Bully Dog ithas JBA long long tube headers and has the rear end mod.

So I'll get some wheels that are 18x9 w a +10 thru +20 offset.
I'll get 33 x12.5 18 mud tires.
And I'll get new UCA's kit to lift the front properly.
The rough country will do me fine since this truck won't be here in 5 years.

Anything else I'm missing?

I'll not order the 2" spacer.

With the UCA's will I still need sway bar extension?

If you're just going to do Bilstein's on the middle setting you don't need UCA's. They'll be nice to have, but you shouldn't have CBC with that. If you're just worried about the tire shop telling you that you can't put 12" wide tires on an 8" wide wheel then keep the stock wheels. If you want the black wheels for looks then go for it.

The Bilstiens are already on the truck and the truck is still raked forward. I'd like to get it levelled. However I want new mud tires too.

Wheels only for looks and what my intent is to have two sets of tires n wheels. One set of stocks w AT's for spring n summer. One set of aftermarket w mudders for fallen winter.

I would definitely get the UCA's just because you'll be taking your truck off road when hunting. I'm sure they may be areas where your truck will flex a bit on some trails so to prevent any coil bucket contact and scaring all the deers away lol so those UCA's will lo help
