Yeah I'd do a Y Pipe and still use same outlet. thanks thoughI don't know the answers to your questions, but I will say the pipe on the 2017 comes into the muffler as two individual pipes and comes out as one single pipe (dual 2.25" to single 3" I believe) so replacing it with straight pipe would either mean some type of y or collector. Or doing all the pipe muffler back as duals
Search muffler delete on Youtube for your answer. There are literally thousands of vids. Why?
Yeah I'll probably just swap the muffler with a magnaflow or something similar.I don't know about the newer engines, but on my first gen I had cutouts before my muffler on both pipes. Lost a little low end, nothing major. Droned like crazy though. Also caused me to run slightly lean.
Yeah I would imagine the old engine sounds similar to the new one so there really is no cheap way to make it sound good unless you go full cat-back and I'm not about to spend $500+ on one right now.Really curious how the new engine sounds with alterations to the exhaust. On my 06 it sounded awful with a straight pipe. I wasted a lot of money playing with different systems. Although in the end I ended up finding the almost perfect set up in the end.

Did you end up deleting the muffler or going aftermarket? If so, what did you end up with?Anyone done a muffler delete? If so, pics? Just curious if you lose alot of low-end torque messing with the back pressure? With the engine on the 2nd gen being direct injection I'm wondering if its a bad idea. thanks in advance.
I found this oneTheres one video on youtube of a second gen with a borla swap, sounds amazing
