Hey guys, new to Titantalk and Titan's in general. I have a 2010 Crew Cab Flex Fuel. New Plugs and S&B CAI are really my only mods I have right now. Want to go with the Borla 40944 after seeing recommendations here and watching youtube videos on the sound. Seems like everyone has really elaborate setups with this muffler. Can it not be just welded in the stock muffler location? I'm not looking for serious performance, just better sound. But I do want it done right if its going to be done. Thanks in advance for the advice.

You have a dual inlet single outlet muffler. The Borla 40944 is a 3” single in and out muffler. A muffler shop will have to build you a y merge to make it work. Borla sounds great on this truck highly recommend it.

Would a pre-fab y-pipe like this work?
Magnaflow 10778 Stainless Steel Exhaust

Y-Pipe https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000COVA76/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_UQA.zbRW7T74S

Or does it have to be custom?
It might, really depends on how far apart the inlets are, I don't think any direct fit adapters like that one are wide enough for the two input pipes coming from the stock exhaust system. Jeff at cajun makes a really good y pipe and its fairly cheap. The only thing is that you might have to get the rest of the exhaust modified so it will all come together nicely. I wouldn't bother, and just get a catback system like the JBA or something. Will be cheaper and less pain in the long run.

I've actually decided to spend the extra $$ and go with the JBA Cat-back system. Seems like the all around best move after reading a bunch of threads.
How do you like the JBA Cat-back system? I am needing a new exhaust ASAP since my back pipe rusted off. I was either looking at a muffler swap or a complete cat back. I just wanted to keep my no y-pipe system if possible. Does the JBA use a y-pipe or allow us to keep the pipes separate?

JBA is turn key stainless mandrel bent system that comes with the ypipe, midpipe, muffler, tip and hangers. $425 shipped from Cajun
