Well i got up this morning to a fresh day. Or so I thought. Got in fsuerics Titan and took a listen. Turned the radio all the way down and gave it some gas. Well my ears have just popped open last night so i can hear really well again. For those that dont know i had really bad ear infection. I hear engine whine . Not loud but i hear it and i can not stand engine whine. The tweeters being on the a pilars and the sound seems to be coming from there. I start my installer checklist of thing to check all grounds are good. Rcas are not pinched . unscrewedd the ends and they seem fine. Try grounding the rcas to the amp . running rcas over the seats and staright inot the amp. groundding the amp to the rca and headunit. And it will not go away. pull the headunit drive 10 miles dish out 1500 bucks for a new 7100 from another shop. AANd its still there . Finally ia pulling the second head unit out with vehicle running . I disconnect power form the headunit and guess what the whine is still there. With no head unit. SO i check the amp . Its off and i still have whine. Disconnest all the speakers and finall pull the front tweeters . Guess what still there. APparently the natural whine of the motor of some component of the motor sounds just like radiated engine noise. Because i cane hear standing outside of the vehicle really well. Man i am pissed. Has anyone else heard this noise. Turn your radio off and rev the motor . you may have to stick your head up by the dash . It sound just like engine noise through tweeters. But its not. because i hear it in this evhicle and theres no headunit , no amp and no front speakers. And my helper hears it to so i am not crazy.
