Hi all,

I'm new here. I've been lurking for a while reading posts though.

After a little more than a week with my Titan XE CC 4x4, I can't tell you how pleased I am with my purchase.

I have found a few small problems with the truck including:
- Rear middle seat belt problems (mechanism locking incorrectly)
- Poor FM radio reception
- Loose Plastic part on tailgate (see my "Tailgate Problem" thread)

In spite of these problems, the Titan is everything I want in a truck. It has a huge interior (which is important to me with my 2nd kid on the way). It has a sporty ride, yet glides on smooth highways. The cabin is quite (except for the throaty exhaust note when you "hit it") and has little wind noise. The bench seats are the most comfortable truck seats I've ever sat in (cushy yet firm and supportive). The engine has power to spare and the 5-speed tranny shifts like butter. One other thing I noticed is how quite the windshield wipers are (no clunk-clunk like the domestics).

My first fill-up after mixed highway/city driving with a short stint in 4x4 yielded 14.1 MPG which is excellent IMO for a full-size truck.

With any luck, they'll have the radio situation figured out soon. I think I read a fix somewhere for the tailgate problem. Try searching the site. I haven't read anything about a seatbelt problem, however.

Really enjoying the Titan so far, just need to get these little things fixed.

P.S. There is a long post on here about the seat belt problem. It seems to be prevelent in most of the Titans on here and affects only the rear middle seat belts.

If you mean the large black plastic portion on the tailgate. I was one that had that problem. Apperently during assembly, the clips that hold that in place were installed incorrectly and actually seperated where they connect to the plastic panel. In turn, this allowed the cover to be loose and the thin piece of two-sided tape around the edges were in effect the only thing holding it there along with the tailgate lock connections. My delaer ordered a whole new panel and it is now installed correctly. Make sure your dealer orders the 'large nissan logo' as well it is a seperate part they must order with it.

Thats the exact truck I have except I have the OFF ROAD package!!! Man I thought I was the only one jk Good Luck with your truck.
