My VMAX fits in my CC bed

Thought I would try and load my VMAX into my bed to see if it would work. Other than the bed being a little bit high, it went off without a hitch. It fit straight in and I was able to get the bed extender down behind it also. The tie down cleats of course came in really handy.
With the 600 pound bike back there, I could hardly tell there was anything back there as I drove around.

You just need a good hill to back up to, to make the ramp more level. I did it by myself and almost lost it a couple of times. Probably won't try it by myself again. But overall, the truck didn't even blink at this!

BTW, I am talking about a vmx1200, not a snowmobile!

Cool!

I have been measuring my bed (CC) also, I need to fit a Kawasaki ZRX1200 in there. It looks to be a tight fit, I may or may not get the bed extender in.

What ramp did you buy/use? Does it fit in the CC bed?

Thanks.

88" DIAGONALLY sport bikes~80-85"

I was considering a CC(ended up with KC),so I measured the bed diagonally to see if my bikes would fit with the tailgate up.It measured out to 88" which means you should be able to close the tailgate(account for width of tires etc) on a 82-84" bike.My SV650 is about 82.25",my SR500's are about the same. Most sport bikes(54-56" wheelbase),MX,enduro, etc should fit with the tailgate closed-close-,but they should fit. Most cruisers probably won't fit with the tailgate up.Luck,Charlie PS I am surprised that MR MAX fit and you could get the extender in place-that was good luck.

I don't know the brand of the ramp, but it is a foldable 8 foot ramp. Folds in half so it can fit anywhere. It is rated at 750 lbs. It is not much wider than the tire itself.

As for Travis499, I also have a 1984 Yamaha Venture that I RIDE on the long hauls. My High speed bike (the VMAX) is just for bar hopping.

Yeah, I like to ride my bike too, but I haven't been able to fit my wife and daughter and their luggage on it yet :jester:

So, for those times when I can't wiggle out of taking them on a trip, I can at least bring my bike so I can ride when we get there :)

If you are riding a VMAX, you are getting between bars pretty damn fast! Great bike, I rode my buddy's VMAX and it screamed, almost scarey.
