Ok I am in need of some help with my nav. system. I have a 2004 titan and took a weekend trip where its was really hot. now my unit reads disk error, I made all the call that i needed to. and was told that i might have to replace the dvd drive, My truck has no warranty. So iam asking for some help. has anyone had this problem? how did you fix it? and what the cheapest way to fix it? Or should i go back to dodge trucks. Please Help i like my titan

I had mine read disk error before.....I was surprised to find when I removed the disk from the nav dvd that there was a small scratch on it...I don't know how it got there but?? I bought a dvd/cd repair kit which was basically very fine sand paper and a solution..... I worked at it till all the scratches were gone and the problem was fixed... I know most video rental places have a disk resurfacer and they will fix it for around a dollar or two....I am not sure if dust somehow entered the unit to cause the scratch but I would check there first if you have not all ready....good luck
