my a/c condenser gave up the ghost and i need a new one. the shop quoted me around $400 for an oem replacement and about $150 for an aftermarket part. quite a difference in price there.. he said most of the aftermarket ones he's replaced (on any given make/model vehicle) usually fit like crap and he has to spend a lot of time making them work/fit. does anyone have a part number or a link or anything for an aftermarket condenser that fits as well as an oem? i can find all kinds of em, but who knows how well they fit. thanks for any help!

I doubt he wanted to tell you that the OE fan was that expensive. Which from my dealing with Nissan from having this truck I can feel that burn.
I have not replaced any on any of my vehicles, have removed and installed back on or got them out of the way.
From my brief search on Rockauto there are quote a few different aftermarket ones and some vaired quite a bit in setup/appearance.
So if you do go the aftermarket route do your research get the dimensions read the reviews and dig into the forums more. Also would be checking OE warranty against aftermarket.
I highly doubt he shared his input on aftermarket condensers to steer you wrong so understand if you did get one that was drastically different than OE costs could rise and soon put you at what your tab would of been w/ OE part.

Just do your research before you throw a condenser in his hands and the job. Sure he will appreciate itt and you will gain more information to make your decision.
