I own a 2008 Nissan Titan XE and the only interior light I have in my cab is one in the center of the truck ceiling. According to the manual, they call this a "personal light, type B". The wattage on this bulb is only 6, so you can imagine how little light is actually given off.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how I might install better lighting without too much of a major project? I was looking to find a LED light bulb, but most of what I'm finding are the ones for the overhead console, which my truck does not have.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated.....

Send "Armaden" a PM he's a member on the forum, he will hook you up with some LED's, Got my interior LEDs from him and they were great, im sure he will be able to make some suggestions and hook u up with the right type of bulb, goin to be buying more from him soon, great customer service too by the way. I'll try and post some pics of my LEDs interior lights later.

if you have the single bulb in there that should be the 31mm festoon bulb. you can get LED bulbs that fit it with up to 9 LEDs on them, or you can get the pannel kit that has a pannel of LEDs (like 12 or more) and an adaptor that plugs into the festoon socket.

I checked out the link you provided, but it does not fit my particular truck. They have a "compatibility" chart that you can drill down into and it will tell you if they will fit. Unfortunately, mine did not.

The rear light on the XE's use the 31mm festoon bulb. It is the same bulb that the map lights in the overhead console use.

now i am in no way saying that this will definatly work in your truck. Its just an idea and you would have to verify it would work, and be prepaired to modify the light houseing to fit if it doesnt. The festoon is a 31mm and the same size as the ones on my map lights.

Thanks to everyone for your advice on the dome lights. I was able to purchase a set from GTAutohause.com and it really does a nice job. Much better than the little bulb I had in there.
