Hey guys hoping you can help me out with a quick question about the BILSTEIN 5100 shocks.

I've read all over that at the lowest setting it still adds .5" of lift to the front suspension.
My current 07' titan has leveling blocks (2.5"front, 1" back) would adding these shocks to the front and back at their lowest setting give me any problems?

Im thinking the front would be at 3" total (ive read that you wont have problems till 4", but prg's site specifically says not to run them with spacers) and to get my back end back to level or slightly up i can set the back shocks to setting 2.

Please let me know if this thinking is correct and if not should i buy 4600 in front and 5100 in back or just 4600 all around.

thank you in advice

Older model 5100's (pre 2010) would add .5" on the bottom setting they have a black steel spring plate on the bottom. Newer 5100's (post 2010) do not add any height on the bottom setting, these have a silver billet aluminum spring plate on them. I've ran mine for 6 years on the mid setting with a 1.5" spacer for a total of 2.5" of lift, and have had zero problems with them.

if you don`t wheel your rig hard, 4600`s will do the job superbly with everyday driving.
I am stock height and run the 4600's. The ride is amazing.

I remember reading that the 4600's are slightly stiffer than 5100's. The con sensuous was the same for my ex Tundra and my Titan.

Bilstein won't confirm the differences on Valving but only say that the 5100's are Longer and designed for 0-2" lift, and Zinc (silver) plated instead of yellow. 5100's rears feel softer than the 4600's IMO.

Iv got 5100 on mine and its stock and it didnt lift it any. on the rear anyway. I got rancho leveling struts on the front so cant attest to that. I put a full set on a dodge once an the shocks didn't lift it any.

Rear 5100 shocks do not add any height, only the front 5100 struts are height adjustable, you have to move the clips to either the middle perch or top perch on them to add height.
